firstly the room had a wall full of damp, the guy booking us in didn't have a clue what he was doing, we wasn't given a key at all for our room and told it would be locked later and the photos on the website are not of the hotel, there was no breakfast room like shown and we had to make coffee and toast in a dirty kitchen, it felt like it was run by community service people, absolutely disgusted with the whole situation of the hotel if you can call it that. the bathroom was shared and very dirty and the beds were not fit for an animal to sleep on, PLEASE don't stay here>>>

Room Tip: don't bother staying here if you want a cheap hotel as this is very bad

arrive at the hotel in Aug 2013 the place stank of cannabis. when bringing this up with the management he said it was from the park outside. we checked out our rooms which were in a terrible state. we had bunk beds when they were ment to be single rooms. The rubbish from a previous occupant was still in the bin and hidden in the walldrobe. the window had to handle and did not close. the shared bathroom was disgusting. when bringing this up with the management he denied he even worked there.. after threatening to contact the police he decided to give us half a refund but we had to go to another hotel to get this. we did contact the police after the event and they told us it was used as a bail hostel... this was all booked through Booking.com who have washed their hands of it and take no responsibility. very scary experience and wont ever be staying there again.

We booked the Citi Park hotel on the monday afternoon, ready to stay on the tues and weds, in a double room with ensuite.
When we arrived, we were greeted warmly and promptly shown to our room. Explained that we were to help ourselves in the area where tea and coffee was to be served, and if we needed anything to just ask.
Upon going out on the tuesday night, rang a taxi company for us, and was extremely pleasant in doing so. When we arrived back at 2am he was also pleasant and welcoming, asking about our night and he hoped we enjoyed the rest of our stay.
The room was just what we needed, clean, tidy and with a bathroom, tv and access to wifi services. Would reccomend this hotel so much so that we have already decided to rebook next month :)

A group of 18 year olds and I decided to book this hotel well in advance of staying and booked through booking.com.

Despite having a booking number and calling to confirm our booking hours before arrival and calling to ask for directions less than half hour before we arrived at this so called hotel, we were abruptly told to leave upon arrival as they were "fully booked" as a group of 10 girls 6/7 hours away from home this was extremely frightening at 9pm to find out we no longer had anywhere to stay for the night.

The woman who greeted us was extremely rude using foul words was unhelpful to say the least. After finding out our rooms had been given away that night, the woman was less than uncooperative and finally gave us a number for another hotel. This was £13 dearer than the hotel we originally planned to stay in but as a group of 10 we were extremely lucky to even find another hotel that would have enough free beds. We had to rush to the next hotel as this would only be held for us for 15 minutes or that would have also been given away.

I would deffinately not recommend staying at this hotel. Very unreliable and truly disgusted with the customer service and effectively put a group of 10 18 year old girls in danger. Disgusting.

Myself and 9 of my friends who are all 18 booked to stay here on saturday night for 1 night. We read the reviews on here so rang the day we were due to go, to check everything was sorted. Which they said it was all fine.

We travelled 6 hours from London, to get to the hotel where the woman who GREETED us spoke to us appallingly and rudely, using foul words. Told us they didn't have out booking and to get out.

CLIVE was no where to be seen and we ended up on the streets.

We eventually got through to their admin line who sorted us our a room for a a extra 15 quid each, which we had no choice to pay, the had to get cabs here there and everywhere you get out next hotel.

This hotel is disgusting and no one should stay there. They're con people and will justRUIN your trip to manchester.

I'm still awaiting a phone call back to discuss the action they will take, but they probably won't even ring back.
