Iv returned to this hotel numerous of times and staying in Manchester It's one of the first hotel I try for availability.
Car parking and safe and secure for a fee of £20 can't complain as its easy parking, near by and still In the city.
We came for a girls night out, our check in was very swift and welcoming. Our room was very big and had a lovely view out over to Manchester, we also had an iPod dock which was a nice touch. Just a short taxi ride away from bars and restaurants. The bed was so comfortable and the curtains really are black outs. Over all my stay was superb and I will return in the future.

I spent 2 nights here on my niece's hen weekend. All staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful and there were plenty of them. Breakfast was high quality with excellent service and the bar food I tried was yummy. Bedrooms and bathrooms were quite large with panoramic views over the city. I didn't try the spa so can't comment on that. Would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here for one night, we had an issue actually getting to the hotel, you can see it from the main road but actually getting to the front door is another thing entirely.
When we finally were able to find our way to reception I did state this to the lady on the front desk about how the hotel entrance should be signposted which she did agree that it was not very good and this needed to be changed.
Our room was not ready when we arrived so our luggage was taken into the back and we went for a drink in the bar as we were waiting for some friends, the service was good and the you man behind the bar really nice and helpful.
After being in the bar for about 20 minutes our room was then ready so we decide to go up to the room, we had only booked a classic room but this was still very nice, spacious and a good sized bathroom with separate shower and bath.
One of the only things about the room that was an issues was the fact the TV was quite small and you were quite a way from it when sat on the bed so it was hard to see, larger TV’s would be better.
We had a good night’s sleep with a very comfy bed.
The other issue was the breakfast the tables looked dirty and in need of replacing, large drinks rings and oily marks all over them. The menus were grubby and the sugar and salt and pepper pots were covered in dirty greasy finger marks which was not very nice so those we didn’t touch.
The food itself was ok but no more than ok not the best of choice if you didn’t eat full English breakfast and for £ 14 per head there needed to be a lot more choice than there was.
In all would we go back, yes we would but this time I would stay without breakfast unless someone has been round with a very good cleaner and changed the choice of cold buffet.

Dear NooLeeds,

Thank you for your kind review it is appreciated and like a lot of Manchester City centre hotels it can be a little challenging using the one way system. If you have a SAT Nav then M1 2AD, Berry Street is always the best way into us as it gets you to our car park perfectly.

With regard to our breakfast it is always a surprise when a guest has a concern as our offering is both award winning and very consistent. I fear you may have caught us at a weak moment so when next you are staying please let me know in advance and I'll personally ensure that we exceed your expectations on that occasion.

Many thanks once again.

We stayed at the McDonald Hotel and Spa for 1 night when Christmas shopping in Manchester. We booked an executive room on a high floor with a great view over the city. The room was fantastic with a great large double bath and massive bed.

I was amazed at the room size and bathroom size and quality. Very impressed and comfortable beds.
Spotlessly clean.
Spa was nice but not really much there to pass the time. I understand a swimming pool isn't possible but I expected a jacuzzi.
We ate in the steak restaurant, basic starter, amazing steak skewer, would def recommend.
Dessert! Well between the group of us we ordered sticky toffee pudding and choc brownie both of which came with vanilla ice cream. Well imagine our surprise when it came with strawberry ice cream! Yuk and they didn't even have the decency to tell us, as if we wouldn't notice. It was inedible and apparently they ran out of vanilla, but then they should have told us and offered us cream or custard.
It was also so cold we were shivering. We did complain about the heat on several occasions and about the pudding and got 25% off the bill. Better than nothing.
