Last Thursday evening, we found ourselves wandering around Chinatown in search of an early dinner. Spoilt for choice, there were plenty of restaurants surrounding us, but which one to try? I work on the basis that if there are other people inside, it might be decent. Most places were still empty at 6.30pm but the Szechuan Kitchen already had half it's tables occupied by early diners.
As we sat down, I noticed we were the only "Guilo" in the place. Another great advert for the food I thought. If it's good enough for the local Chinese community, it's good enough for me. Even better, no poring over the menu trying to decide what to order, they have an early bird 4 course meal for £9.50 and it was delicious!
Little if any MSG was used so I didn't have a shrivelled up feeling after eating their delicious food. The meat quality was reasonable and the taste excellent.
You may wander around Manchester's Chinatown wondering which place to try. I'd highly recommend the Szechuan Kitchen! No connection with the business, just very pleased to pass on a recommendation where we've had great food at a reasonable price!
