We visited this pub before a Morrissey gig in July 2012 and it was great. The music for the night was mainly Smiths/Morrissey due to the pub being full of people going to the gig, but I get the impression that this pub will always play great music. Met some very interesting characters including a mother of 10 kids.

nice bar, drinks are expensive but the atmosphere is really good. mid to late 20's tend to go and theyhave quizzes/offers on during the week.

Downstairs in the bar they have screens playing old movies occasionally which is nice. They also have themed evenings- have a look on their website for anything goes on in the night.

Thank Charlie T

Loving the crackpots at Cord. I had the 3 bean chilli and nachos on the recommendation of the girl behind the bar and was pretty impressed. Tasted great and thought it was excellent value for money at £4 for a pot. My girlfriend had the meat chilli and really enjoyed it too.
Definitely great for filling up when I'm out after work for a few beers and not ready to go home for tea yet!

Stubbled across this place by accident, and what a surprise! Really chilled out atmosphere and cool looking crowd slurping drinks around the bar and tucked away in booth style seating. Probably the best bar we found in the Northern Quarter, no pretentious behaviour in here just a real arty bohemian vibe. Well worth a look!

Booked a deal on groupon for a booth for 8 people for £60 inc 2 bottles of vodka and unlimited mixers. When we arrived our booth was full but the bar tender threw the group out of the booth for us. Warning. This offer runs at 8pm till 10pm or 10 till close. They do throw you out on the early booking!!!! Bar fine. Abit student land mixed crowd. Mainly 20s. Our booth had a speaker in corner which was so loud my glass was bouncing. We asked them to turn it down. They didn't. We covered it with coats instead which made it more bareable. Mixers don't include red bull. Ice ran out at 11pm. Only issue was toilets. They were worst I've seen. The basement walls are wet and mouldy. The brick is green and slimy with mould. You can see them decaying before your eyes. Made me worry about cleanliness of rest of place. Wouldn't return.
