Good bar, busy with mixed crowd. Not sure if the kitchen was short staffed, but our table of six took over 30 minutes to serve with a main course at lunch. When the food came it was fair for the price, but a duck breast was tough. The plates were so hot they were uncomfortable - even 5 mins into eating the meal!
Table was sticky and wobbly - and the staff ignored our comment about the duck breast. The restaurant itself felt a bit tired and unloved since their last refit.
Cardinal sin: their website offered a 50% off voucher valid mon-thurs, but when I called to book for thursday lunch, they told me that the voucher would not be honoured (because they don't run their own website!!). That smacks of poor practice - if not dishonesty. The staff seemed to have received a lot of comments - and offered the contact details of the managing director.
