This place looked inviting but deserted when we entered the old frontage up narrow stairs at lunchtime. However, its clearly popular with locals (always a good sign) as we were amazed to find the huge, questionably-decorated dining room buzzing with customers, almost like a school refectory. We had an excellent tarte flambee and the plat du jour (chicken in riesling sauce with tagliatelli - pleasant but nothing special). Service was efficient and its certainly an ok place for lunch, especially with a family. Very clean. Reasonable value.
