“Nice hotel close to downtown”
Reviewed 8 April 2013

Nice hotel, very friendly staff. Decoration is nice and the breakfast is decent. Room we got was a bit small. Free internet and coffee. The internet access is a bit fidgety though. Overall I enjoyed my stay. Nice little budget hotel.

Staff were very helpful, loved the touch screen local information kiosk, Mac and iPad in reception you can use. Great location for exploring and restaurants. Reasonable rooms for a city hotel. Would stay again.

The rooms were very clean, service was excellent (receptionist helped me call up a few restaurants on Christmas Eve to try and reserve a table, but they were all fully booked).

Location couldn't have been better (for those arriving by train), but there are no hotel parking. Those arriving by train can literally walk to the Hotel, and it is quite near to where the traditional Christmasy markets are.

Although there are lots of street side parking (it can get really crowded; and limited to no more than 2 hours at a stretch), and a multi-storey carpark that tied up with the hotel for long-term parking. It can be quite a hassle if it is raining, as the multi-storey carpark is about 7 minutes' walk away. Good value for the rooms (comfortable bed), and breakfast spread was good.

The rooms were very clean, and housekeeping was definitely good. Sleep quality was good, and my only grip was that that heater worked "too well". Coming from the tropics, it certainly needed some getting used to, because of the vast temperature difference between the outdoors (especially at night), and the rooms.

Hotel is well located close to the central station. Parking is possible in a parking garage below the central station 5 minutes walking. Small hotel that looks very different with a very trendy modern design.New Mercure concept. We had standard room no 1that was small for 2. Bed average. No safe locker. Bathroom had a shower which was excellent. No windows in the room but a door to an indoor patio. Wifi was free and ok. TV in rooms had sufficient channels. Breakfast was not included.Service fine. Price quality ok. However our room was too small for us so next time we will take a bigger room.

Room Tip: not the standard room

Hotel is really new and clean! Great vibe and perfect location! My only complain is that the rooms have paper cups for tea/coffee rather than a nice mug. If you enjoy a great coffee this is not the ideal situation. I would stay again certainly.
