This hotel is no more than five minutes walk from the station, and is also very well-placed for the centre of the city. As one would expect from a Mercure hotel, it was very clean and the staff were very, very helpful. Not only do rooms provide facilities fro making tea and coffee, there is also a Nespresso machine by the reception for guests to use. The breakfast provided an excellent choice in a clean and modern area. There was no external noise audible in the bedroom (though this fronted the main street). I can recommend this hotel wholeheartedly.

Placed in the very heart of the city, near everything you need, this hotel offers quiet, relaxed place to rest after hard day of working or walking. Rooms are small but comfortable, with basic things you need - good Internet connection, coffee machine, TV, adjustable heating/cooling, cozy bathroom, spacious desk and cozy bed. What is odd is the lack of the wardrobe. You have hangers, but not the closed place to put them and your stuff in.
Staff is very kind and helpful, and the breakfast quite diverse and tasty.
But what impressed me the most is the atmosphere in the hotel: everything is in strong colours and white, cheerful and pleasant, and you can not help but to be in the same cheerful and pleasant mood.
Overall, you will definitely not make a mistake if you choose this hotel.

We spent a week end in this hotel where the stay was perfect from the beginning to the end for the following reasons:
- Location: 5 to 10 minutes walking distance from the train station (SNCF) and right across the river facing the historical city centre.
- Accommodation: designed, maintained and charming room mixing design furniture in an historical environment.
- Food & Beverage: great breakfast with a wide choice of food and beverage. The food is super tasty: a whole breakfast here keeps you well all day for the exploration and discovery of the city.
- Staff: welcoming, smiling, available, reliable and attentive from the check-in to the check-out.

Thanks for this great stay!

The location of the hotel is very good being only a short walk from the railway station and probably only 10 minutes into the city centre.
It is situated in an old rather grand looking building but the reception area is a bit of a culture shock - it looks like something out of a 1970's science fiction film; brightly lit with strange uncomfortable white plastic furniture! My room was situated on the first floor, at the back of the hotel (so no traffic noise!) looking out onto a small courtyard - although both of the windows opened, it was impossible to get any air into the room. The room was small and decorated in a strange green colour, with limited open storage and dark coloured furniture; the bed was comfortable and tea and coffee making facilities were provided and a flat screen TV. General lighting was quite good but the bedside lighting was excellent with an adjustable lamp for reading. The bathroom was tiny and it was impossible to stand in front of the mirror (which was above the washbasin) due to the proximity of the shower enclosure on one side and the hair-dryer, tissue box, etc. on the wall on the other side, so you had to slide in sideways!
Everything worked apart from the air con. which blew air around but didn't seem to cool the room down at all! The corridor outside the room was also hot and if you use the stairs, be careful - the striped carpet makes it difficult to see the edges of the stairs!
The breakfast was quite good with all the usual things available including a boil your own egg machine so you could boil it exactly as you like it. A toaster was provided but unfortunately no bread for toasting - French batons don't toast very well and get lost in the toaster - burnt fingers trying to get it out! The breakfast room was very small with large clunky furniture which took up a great deal of space - be careful not to trip over the back legs of the chairs which stick out quite a way behind the chairs!
Although clean and with friendly staff, it isn't a hotel I would wish to stay in again.

My mother and I stayed for 2 nights at this hotel right after Christmas to go to the Christmas markets. The rooms are small, but that is the norm in Europe. The hotel is in a great location near enough to the train station that we didn't have to drag our luggage too far though town, but is also within walking distance to everything you want to go to. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were all very nice, especially Tiffany. If we were to go back again, we would definitely stay there a second time.

The room is clean and bed is very comfortable. The hotel is strategically located within walking distance from the old city just at the foot of the bridge. The hotel design has a modern and chic theme. Ingenious use of space, we don't find it congested. I find the room very reasonably priced. To top it of, we woke up to an amazing speed of buffet breakfast, fresh orange juice, excellent coffee, a wide variety of breads and doughs, eggs, yogurt, a healthy selection of cold cuts, to name a few! Definitely would return if I am in town again.
