it is hard to appreciate a city to its fullest without knowing about its history. this museum is well done, well organized , very professional and the audio is lively and fun to listen to with plenty of facts that catch our attention: Gutenberg was there. the Marseillaise , the French anthem was conceived there by a young officer to inspire the tro0ps. , the foi gras, local specialty of the region, was developed because , under louis the xiv, the farmers rebelled about having the feed the horses of the garnison posted in Strasbourg. so they switched from oats to maize, which is mainly good for goose feeding.
there is also the serious story about the city. we truly enjoyed it. and we will enjoy our visit of strasbourg even more because of it.
