Residence Jean-Sebastien Bach

The best hotel I ever stayed in Strasbourg. I also stayed once in Holiday Inn, but...
The staff is extremely polite and helpful, the room service is very good.
The rooms are huge, clean, cosy with splendid balcony.
It is the perfect location if you work with the European Institutions.

We were lucky to get a free upgrade to the apartment which is really conveniently designed. It has small kitchen corner, bigger minibar fridge with space for guests food/drinks. Staff is quite helpful and pleasant to deal with. I’d not recommend the hotel to tourists but to those who have to attend European institutions due to its location in calm district, close to a nice park but in 30 walking minutes from more active town’s center. Taxi to the cathedral (center) would cost you approximately 12 Euro.
The only serious thing to improve is breakfast. If it is not included in your rate and you have some time to have in another place – don’t go for it, it is very below average without normal coffee and selection of food as for 4 star hotel.

we stayed at this hotel in an apartment. it was a very good size. very clean.
also central to the tramp station - about 3 minutes. friendly reception staff especially
the male. the breakfast is typical continential... staff not very friendly in breakfast room.

strasbourg is a lovely city... the river tour definately worthwhile.. cathedral fantastic.
good variety of restaurants.... a very under rated city. would definately return.

This hotel has potential, but misses on the details. Poor drainage and broken fixtures in the bathroom, and no Internet outside the lobby. Rooms are a decent size, but smell of smoke.

Excellent location, close to the attractive and interesting Park of the Orangerie, with easy access to the city of Strasbourg by foot or by tram. Spacious, apartment style rooms with very good facilities. Secure underground garage parking, although at an extra charge. The breakfast area is a little small for the number of guests staying at the hotel.

The room was tatty and not that clean. Could do with a good vacuum especially in the corners. The smell of smoke was SO strong. All the chairs were dirty. The wallpaper in the rooms is peeling off and torn in places. Furniture badly scratched. Voile curtains dark gray from the smoke. Room service - just not acceptable. Breakfast was OK. Have had better. No wifi/internet in rooms - for the price for a small studio we thought this could be offered. we stayed in room 414. what with the distance from the center... we wont be back.
