“great location”
Reviewed 30 December 2013

This hotel is located just a few steps from the main train station. It is in a pedestrian zone (prepare for that if you are driving!) and is surrounded by restaurants and shopping. It is only a few minutes walk to all of the sites in Strasbourg, but if the weather is poor or you don't feel like walking, 6 Euro will buy a 24-hour tram ticket for 3 people, and you can take the trams to all the sites in the city.

The hotel was really comfortable and clean. The lobby offers complimentary coffee and tea around the clock. The front desk will gladly store your luggage for you if needed. And the price was great for the location. I would stay here again.

Straight out from the front door of the train station across the square and down Rue du Maire Kuss a short distance. The street was under construction but a walkway across piping work so easy entrance.
Small lobby for check-in with friendly welcome by reception girl. Room was small but adequate as was the bathroom with shower. Windows double paned so no sound from outside. All clean and comfortable. The breakfast included was very nice with even fresh squeezed orange juice.
Not too far down the street to reach the center of town and "Petite France" area. Certainly a good choice for a quick way to drop your bags and be on your way to see the charming town. The hotel will hold bags after check out until you are ready to go on.

Yes, the rooms are small (though some smaller than others) but as a stop over hotel this is good value - especially if you are able to book in advance and take advantage of some of the offers (our rooms were less than €60 a night). We stayed here for 2 overnight stopovers. The second room we had was very cramped but perfectly adequate for our purpose - but not for a longer stay. (The first room by contract was a reasonable size). The rooms are also very quiet and well soundproofed and the beds are very comfortable for a hotel of this standard. Loved the breakfast, the free wi-fi and the quirky bar area, not to mention the updates for arrivals/departures at the train station. We also found the staff helpful - no complaints and for a short stay would definitely recommend.

We stayed in this hotel for one night on our way back home to Germany. We booked this hotel on short notice and paid 89€ (b&b-rate). A baby cot was already set up in the room without extra-costs. The room was under the roof and pretty dark. The "design" is okay but nothing special, although a lot better than a "normal" ibis.
The bathroom was small with a tiny shower. Breakfast buffet was served in the basement and good.
The hotel is close to the main station but we walked to the old town in just 5 minutes.

Strasbourg was our last stop after a week-long drive doing the Alsace Wine route. The hotel is just across the train station and the car rental place. Petite France was just a short walk away. Pretty convenient and affordable too.
