The visit is very interesting to see, to know and to admire the European Parliament! It's nice to understand how politicians work and live there. Very good to feel more and more pride to belong to Europe!

Thank Lor S

When you consider the history of Europe, the European Parliment is an extraordinary place. For all its limitations, this building and what happens here is in direct contrast to conflicts which plagued and shaped Europe. If you come here with an openness to appreciate the symbolism of here and what it actually achieves you will thoroughly enjoy the visit. Overall the tour is very educational and gives you access to the Parliamentary chamber itself, and to the film on the history and purpose of the place, and many information stands. We found the staff to be very welcoming, and our guide, Frank, was very knowledgeable, helpful and encouraging, and certainly added to this wonderful visit and experience. You need to book in advance, which was a simple enough process.

You can walk around it just to see and take some pictures to show off that you have been to the European Building.

Booking a visit to the European Parliament is very easy. I booked it 48 hrs in advance on the UE website and got the reply with the booking time 24hrs later. August is a non-working month thus the building is not busy at all, nonetheless the visit is very interesting. Our guide was very nice and she gave us lots of information on the building, the history and the operations that are now held in Strasbourg. You actually enter the parliament room and during working session (not in august, but if you’re interested you can check the dates and the agenda on the UE website) you can assist to the discussion and vote. If you ever go to Strasbourg do not miss this visit.

Building itself isn't anything special, you cant go in, unless reserve a few months in advance. Its interesting to see if you like politics or law. we went alone, no guide, there were protesters outside which was interesting.
