“Nice Hotel”
Reviewed 12 February 2012

The room was large, clean, and really more like a small apartment. It had a mini refrigerator, cook top, dish washing machine, and dishware. It is right next to the main shopping area. I enjoyed it. The bathroom came with a tub and shower and the tub was rather large. Tip for the travelor, you'll have to double park outside of the hotel to get the passcode to get into the garage.

My wife and I stayed here for 1 nights as part of an 8 week holiday through Europe, UK and Ireland. We were only staying for one night as we were meeting up with my wife’s family and then heading into the French countryside for a week.

We chose this place based on Tripadvisor reviews and also price. These are more like apartments rather then a hotel, which was fine for our purposes.

Having driven from Carcassone to Bordeaux, getting into Bordeaux was somewhat challenging although having a GPS certainly helped. There is a car park nearby, however, we had to find the hotel and get an access code for the car park first which was a bit of an issue. The rooms were excellent, very modern with everything we needed. In terms of its location there was a shopping centre across the road and restaurants and bars close by as well.

Staff were helpful and overall it was a very good stay even though it was just for one night. I would certainly stay here again and would be interested in staying at other Adagio aparthotels based on this experience.

We stayed in Adagio service apartment for 3 nights in October of this year. The apartment is very clean, very spacious and extremely close to shopping centres if you need to obtain grocery & other essentials. It is also very central to the old town centre of Bordeaux. I would definitely consider coming back to stay if I return to Bordeaux.

On the plus side, cheap & convenient. Gym available.
On the minus side, quite bland&boring Area (Meriadeck) is not the most glamour one in town. 3 people room are comfortable enough, 2 people studios are small and bed is a foldable one.
I forgot a shirt there and staff was not able to find it.

Room Tip: Courtyard rooms have nicer view

We travelled with a small child and were therefore staying in serviced apartments and private apartments. Whilst the Adagio Bordeaux was reasonably priced, new/modern and very lean, the "apartment" was extremely small, with basically a curtain separating the bedroom and living area - this basically meant that it was no better than a small hotel room. Also given Bordeaux is a fairly large city, it was not particularly well located for the major tourist attractions. It was however very well located for the Meriadech shopping centre, so very convenient for groceries etc

If you were a business person it probably would have been great, however, for a small family it was a bit impractical

This hotel was a very pleasant surprise. Taxi cost 15 euro from station. Hotel is in a fairly central location - close to shops, restaurants etc. It is clean, has very helpful staff, free internet, probably the most spacious room we encountered in Europe and it was relatively cheap - we paid approx. 120 euro per night. The rooms were also quiet which is a big winner as far as we are concerned. We did not eat breakfast there so cannot comment on that. Would highly recommend this establishment.

This is our 3rd trip to France and this time we alternated our accommodation between apartment rentals and a week long stay at the Agadio-Bordeaux. The rentals have all been great, but the Adagio was a wonderful reprieve from having to figure things out on our own. Our accommodation - studio for 3 people - enabled one of us to go to bed early while the other person could stay up, reading, blogging, writing. The layout of the apt was perfect. We loved that the toilet was in a separate room from the shower/bath. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to figure out. having Access to laundry facilities was a bonus. The stream room, sauna and fitness area also looked great although we never made use of them. I'd highly recommend this hotel to vacationers as well as business travellers
