Although it's a bit hard to find as it's in an industrial area and looks like a warehouse from the road, this was a great place to stay. Friendly and multilingual staff, decent sized room with kitchenette, very clean and comfortable. As a stop-off on way through France, it was just what we needed and very good value. We would definitely stay again.

At just under 60 euros for the room the price was good value. The neighbourhood is a bit desolate and modern - along with 60's towerblocks a big investment is going into shiney new business premises. However its 2 minutes walk to the excellent metro and within 5 minutes you're right into the heart of the massively attractive centre of Bordeaux, first stop the sensational Jardin Public. The location therefore is a good compromise and despite the immediate environs it's a pleasant surprise to find that Gallerie Tatry itself is a characterful old stone warehouse which has been tastefully converted. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms comfortable, clean and well equipped and the breakfast was remarkably good and plentiful for 8 euros. All in all it has much to commend it and I would certainly stay again and/or recommend to friends.

Residhotel staff were friendly and helpful. They spoke good english which was good for us as we only knew a little french.
The rooms were very clean, it included a kitchenette and was a bargain on booking.com
Check out was 11am which was nice and free wifi was great! We were even able to connect to it from our room as it was on the first level above reception.
The only downside was the sound of a piano from our room until about 11pm and began at about 9am which I think was coming up from reception but it wasn't loud and we didn't have to wear earplugs to block it out. It was only faint. This hotel seemed to be in a business area but was so close to the main tram line that it didn't matter.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights with 8 friends. The rooms were basically small apartments which was great as we were able to cater for ourselves to save some money. The hotel staff were friendly and spoke many different languages. You have to take the tram to get into town but the tram stop is a 2 minute walk from the hotel and a day tram pass was around 3.70 euros so it was very easy to get around to see all of the sights.

Great location, great price, ability to self cater on a basic scale, easy access to city by tram, FREE PARKING! I found the bars on the windows a little depressing and the lighting was very subdued, but sti;l it's the best accommodation I've had in Bordeaux.

Room Tip: Decide between budget studio or separate bedroom

We live in France an hour away from Bordeaux, on the 7th November we spent the night at this hotel, we found it with not too much difficulty as anyone who knows Bordeaux knows how difficult the rocade and traffic is. When we arrived 12.30ish too early to book into our room, next door was "le Kantine" a huge self-service restaurant, used by many of the workers nearby, after a great meal and glass of good Bordeaux wine, we checked into our room, after parking our car in their secure locked compound. The room was a double room studio, the decor was tasteful, good size bathroom, and of course kitchen facilities, including fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and kettle, with all the usual plates etc to go with it. We ventured out to the city (the tram stop 2 minutes walk away) fare to the city 1euro.40, we did the usual touristy stuff, returned and asked about restaurants nearby, I also enquired if it was okay to have a delivered takeaway, no problem said the staff, who helped us to order it, our day was complete, a meal in the room with a bottle of wine, after a long day, not everyone's choice, but for us perfect. So the conclusion I would recommend this hotel to anyone, we have stayed at many hotels in France which range from the mediocre to the downright shabby, paying a lot more than we did at Galerie Tatry, which was new and clean and everything you would want for a short visit to beautiful Bordeaux.

Room Tip: The studio for a couple is fine, bijou is the adjective I would use, one night was fine but if stayi...

We stopped here en route to Spain for a couple of nights.Good facilities very clean, secure free parking and wifi. Ideal also if you want to self cater as fridge and hotplate plus microwave and essential kitchen utensils in seperate galley area of room.Close to river where lots of eateries can be found.Supermarket and patisserie about 5_10 mins walk away.Tram short walk away which will take you directly into town although the walk alongside the river into town takes about 20 mins and is very pleasant. Would definitely stay again also quite easy to find as just off main ring road.
