I had several luches there and to be honest it was great. French Fries were amazing, the food was well presented. The service is very good, and the owner is a nice & humble person always talking with customers.
Many restaurant in Bordeaux should take the Tio Pepe as an example.
Friendly & fast service, Good Food, Good price.

A must go in Bordeaux !

I currently live in Bordeaux and go to Le Tio Pepe as often as I can. Not only is the service amazing (especially the humble owner) but the food is amazing also. The salade chevre chaud is amazing. I highly suggest everyone go!

Stopped in here on a Saturday night because it was close to our hotel, and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is Basque in origin, but serves a variety of food. Their prix fixe menu of the evening was very reasonable, although that doesn't mean one should bypass the main menu. My dining companions ordered the fish soup which was very good, as well as a lasagna special. Desserts were excellent, particularly the light marzipan Basque torte.
Pleasant and fast service.

We had a couple of hours to spend in Bordeaux between trains . This suited us well for a quick lunch. We weren't expecting a gastronomic high for E 8.50, but we got what we paid for with pleasant service and no regrets... and why can't more French restaurants produce such superb frites?!
