Had the pleasure of an excellent degustation menu at 7e Peche while traveling through Bordeaux. Restaurant is intimate and somewhat contemporary, located conveniently within walking distance from central Bordeaux. Menu was creative and visually appealing, with several new twists on traditional favorites. Highlight was the chefs speciality - soft cooked poached egg with variations of truffle. Innovative and delicious. Only downside is that with such a varied menu, there is no wine available by the glass, leading to poor food matches if you are not in a large group. A real pity, and certainly unusual for a starred restaurant.
