Truly a French experience. The wait staff are so amazing and even though we spoke little to no french and the waiter little to no english he was truly professional and treated us (even in our day of hiking around clothes) as honoured guests. Food was perfect!

We dined at Le Noailles twice firing our stay in Bordeaux. The restaurant is very close to great shopping and the square. The oysters are excellent as well as the avocado and shrimp appetizer. We also tried the foie gras and it held up well under the competition. For an entree we had the sole meunière and the goat cheese salad. All of our choices were enjoyed. The service is very accommodating and pleasant though the restaurant was always full and busy.

I had a high expectation of this restaurant due to comments made by other reviewers. I cannot see what the reviewers saw in this restaurant. I went with a large group and our experience was truly terrible.
Perhaps becasue we had prepaid we made it easy for the restaurant to treat us as second rate citizans. The one waiter that served us was disgracfully rude.

When one of the members of our group asked the waiter for water bottled water the waiter made it clear this would make his life difficult. The group member offered to pay immeditaly for the extra water but the group member was rudely dismissed. When the bottled water finally came it was thrown down, the money taken (5.5 euro for water) and the change thrown down on the table.

We also had to ask for more tap water. The waiter banged the bottle of tap water down so it splashed out over 2 people.

When the food finally arrived it was thrown down onto the table roughly in front of the person it was intended for.
The food was frankly of a very low quality. The restarant had no charm. The whole experiece was unpleasant.
My only recommendation would be to miss it. The bistro in the Grand Hotel 100m down the road was 1000% better.

We visited this restaurant in 2012 on our wedding anniversary and liked it very much. We decided to come again in 2014 and found it just as good as we remembered! The food is great, the service variable but very friendly and we were more than happy that we had returned!

Lovely location. Gorgeous avocado and crayfish starter, husband tucked into fabulous oysters followed by amazing steak tartare. I had gorgeous sole meunière. Desserts were fab rum raisin ice cream and my other half had profiteroles with the most amazing chocolate sauce. Service a bit haphazard but as we were happy to relax for the duration did not spoil the experience. Loved it and would definitely recommend and go back.
