Convenient hotel, close to transport (trams) which were an excellent mode of transport around Bordeaux.
This hotel was clean and the room was sufficient in size for a couple nights.
Staff were helpful., and the cost reasonable.
Lower end of budget but not in standard.

Hotel is located near the city centre and shopping streets. The rooms are either small and dark with tiny windows (facing inward) or a bit bigger, brighter facing the street. Street noise is not much of a factor in one of the upper floors. Hotel parking is 0,8 eur per hour the first 24 h and after that 0,4 eur per hour (we stayed 1,5 days and payed 26 eur for parking alone).
Hotels elevators are slow and it's not clear where the stairs are. When coming up from the underground parking lot there is apparently only the elevater, for which you can wait quite some time (1 elevator wasn't working). Otherwise a clean hotel.

Room Tip: choose one facing the street!!

This was a pleasant hotel and near major sites in Bordeaux. However it appeared to be on a busy street and a lot of sirens could be heard while dinning. Bed was comfy and bathroom was well plan and thought out for a wheelchair room. The threshold to the room was difficult to cross when alone and in my chair. Hallways did not appear to match the lobby and rooms - was dated - but rather have a nice room than a hallway. elevators worked well; a bit noisy but did not affect our sleep.

We had dinner in the hotel that night as I was not felling well. We had wonderful tapas that were just right for what we needed and was good value for money. The breakfast buffet was wonderfully done and had an arrangement of crepes, waffles, meats, cheeses and pastries and fresh jams.

We stayed in IBIS Centre Meriadeck for 2 Nights on the 29th and 30th May 2014. The Hotel is well Located, close to everything and a nice walk down to the main Port with the large Cruis Ships and a great selection of Bars and Restaurants. The Hotel Room was clean and the Bed was excellant. Breakfast was of a high standard and although the Hotel was very busy there was never any shortage of any of the many choices of food. The staff were attentive and friendly, whether in the Bar, at Reception or at Breakfast. This Hotel is excellant value for the money and I would have no hesitation in recommending it highly.
