This hotel is very cute and clean, for the price we paid for, I thought it was pretty ok. However there were a few issues, our phone never worked and the staff did not bother to fix it. The spa which we paid to enter, the hot tub was NOT hot, it was barely luke warm, we told the staff and nothing was done.

Our room was nice, clean and cute. Wifi was free so that was great. The room is small though, just like the rest of the European countries.. And supposedly he gave us an Upgrade but I wasn't convinced since we had no view and the room was tiny.

Overall, it was a nice stay.

I stayed there with a group in 6 rooms, the overall stay was perfect. The hotel is charming in style, modern in arrangements (wifi computer on tv) and has good breakfast and restaurant. one room had a problem and was replaced immediately. Perfectly located downtown hotel with park, shops and eateries nearby.

This hotel is perfectly situated in central Bordeaux, with excellent access to all the major attractions.

Unfortunately, we experienced far too many problems at this hotel, all of which were poorly handled by management. Upon arrival, the hotel had no record of our pre-paid booking (made through booking.com). Rather than undertaking to address the issue themselves by contacting booking.com, the front desk staff said we should contact booking.com and check our bank accounts to see whether money had been taken from our accounts. Booking.com (which incidentally provided very good service) checked and was able to confirm that the booking had been made and receipt confirmed by the hotel.

The reception staff told us upon arrival that they could provide us with a card that would reduce the cost of parking at the carpark over the road. However, the staff member said that had run out of cards (which was surprising in itself) but that she would give us one the following morning. When we spoke with the front desk the next day, we were told that the card was single use only and that it would be cheaper for us to pay normal prices since we were parking for 48 hours. Upon probing, however, it emerged that this was in fact not the case and that the hotel simply did not have any parking cards left.

We then left the hotel for the day and returned to find that our room door was left ajar after the room had been cleaned. The room had all our valuables in it so we immediately informed the front desk in person. They were unapologetic and blamed the cleaners. We did a check and left again 10 minutes later. The same woman who we had spoken with about this issue got in the lift with us on the same floor and did not even ask whether everything was untouched.

Most annoying was the unapologetic attitude of the staff about all of these stuff ups. The only positive reaction we got was when they left a half bottle of wine in our room in recognition of the "inconvenience" experienced during our stay.

It seems that the front desk staff were trained at the Basil Fawlty School of Hotel Management, which is totally unacceptable for a hotel such as this. Would I stay here again? No way.

Dear Guests,

Thank you for feedback pertaining to your recent stay at our Hotel. Your positive comments concerning the location of the hotel as well as your constructive feedback relating to your experience is appreciated. Upon receiving any feedback, we, the management team do take matters seriously to ensure that we investigate each matter in detail with the hopes of improving our service standards and to avoid such events in the future, with this in mind I would like to give you some feedback on our findings.

We agree that we did not have any record of your reservation when you arrived. Our reception manager did look at the website of the on-line agent and managed to make your booking in order to ensure we accommodate your stay, while I agreed that this is not an ideal situation, this error has occurred due to a system error from the on-line agent and ours, I would like to take this opportunity to apologize once again. With regards to the matter of payment, this was due to the fact that as an on-line booking the hotel stay was due to be paid by you to the agent and as the booking itself was not in our system, we had to ensure that the booking is valid the most efficient way to check this would be to check the bookers bank statement as if the charge was done then we the hotel is assured that the booking is genuine. This was the reason why our team member asked you to verify your bank account, as well as to avoid charging you twice for your stay.

We are sorry to hear that you found your door open when you came back into your room on the second day. The receptionist did not ask you if something was missing simply because you told her on the phone a couple of minutes before. We are surprised because all our doors are specially equipped with a self-closing unit for added security. However upon escorting you to your room at that point we did raise this matter with our housekeeping & maintenance teams to ensure the door closing unit is in good working order.

Apart from the above unpleasant events, the information you was given about the car parking options and cards was not ideal and unacceptable. The car parking is an external option that we do have an agreed discount towards our guests but at that moment some of the respective time cards was out of stock and we needed to get them from the car parking company. The key focus for us is the information that was given to you as we have seem that a training issue has been identified and we will ensure that all team members are trained accordingly in providing accurate and clear information to our guests.

Nevertheless we are sincerely sorry if your stay was not completely satisfactory and we hope you will give us another chance in the future in choosing our property on your next visit to Bordeaux.

This is a charming, well-equipped and very smart little hotel located close to the town centre in Bordeaux. The rooms are a little small but represent reasonably good value, bearing in mind the location. Attention to detail can be an issue, as mentioned by others. However, issues brought to the attention of the staff are dealt with patiently and courteously. It has a very pleasant little dining room with tables also on the street outside, when appropriate. The food is of high quality and excellent wines are available.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the street are much nicer but this may not be important if you are not going to spend m...

This is a well equipped boutique hotel in a very good location in Bordeaux, but it let's itself down with attention to detail and the little things that can irritate. Our room was a prime corner room on the first floor with double glazing, of good size, with an excellent bathroom although the shower was over the bath. One could not fault the quality of the room. But to the detail. Why provide bottled water upon arrival and not replenish on subsequent days? One day the room took an inordinate amount of time to ready, even with a make up room door sign. Bath mats not replaced. Breakfast room chaos. And all of this for €290 per night plus breakfast. They just need to sharpen up.

Great location and great price! Definitely recommend. I loved the bathtub, too! The staff was nice and helpful. The only ones we encountered on our trip that said. They'd ship a package back to the states for us.
