Close to our hotel and picked from previous TA reviews. Can honestly say this was one of the best meals we have ever had including Michelin Star experiences. The restaurant has clean, simple decor and great friendly service with a good standard of English spoken. The menu has four choices for starter, main and desert. Prices are very reasonable by the standards of the city at 32€ for 3 dishes and wine between 15 to 20€ for a decent bottle.
You can see the chef at work and with only 2 in the kitchen cooking to order be prepared to wait between courses and enjoy the experience. The deserts on both nights were real stars (lemon tarte and chocolate brownie). Langoustine and duck liver starters were also good. My favourite main was the slow cooked pork.
Portions are by usual Englsh standards on the small size but after 3 of these plates you will have had plenty to eat and a really enjoyable experience. Just wish there was a restaurant this good at these prices close to where I live.
