The house is a mini museum with modern art everywhere. The rooms were comfortable though the two we stayed in (Rosita and Marisa) did not have air con as advertised. Not tragic since the evening was not sweltering but could've been a problem. It was relaxed and very good value, except for breakfast which was an ungodly 9,50 each for a small bread basket, coffee, a store bought yogurt, some orange juice and preserves. Room TV (which we didn't watch) was a tiny 16 inch flat screen hung on the wall a foot from the ceiling. Hard to enjoy from any angle. This place really could've upped the quality of the breaksfast (after all it is a B&B) and made it into a memorable stay.

Room Tip: If you want air con make sure you confirm that your room has it.

A delightful house with very spacious rooms and comfortable furnishngs set in mature wooded garden. The house is like an art gallery where you live among the exhibits. Our hosts (husband, wife and daughter) were very friendly and helpful. Close to the train station (even then we were given a lift on departure) and about 30 minutes walk from town centre; there is a bus service too. We would like to revisit sometime.

Stayed here for a weekend and was really glad I chose this place. Beautiful house made all the more charming by the family that run it. They were incredibly helpful with recommendations, even gave me a lift into town one day. Had the best sleep in years in their comfortable rooms with great light-excluding shutters. Perfect place just to relax. Not very central in terms of location, but there's a good local bus service and even walking to town only takes 25 minutes. Very easy access to airport though.

My wife and I spent four nights at Nere-Chocoa during a three-week ramble this September through SW France. It was a wonderful, wonderful place and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The B&B was a big, old, nicely restored and maintained house on a large, wooded property on the outskirts of Biarritz with very easy auto access to town. It was just full of all sorts of interesting and appealing art (paintings, sculpture) which the owners have acquired. Our room (en suite) was large, quiet and clean. Marc and Maryse, the proprietors, were exceptionally nice and couldn't have been more helpful with sightseeing and dining suggestions. They are definite foodies, so, when Marc makes a restaurant recommendation--heed it! They accommodated our attempts to speak French to them, but my sense is that Marc, at least, can get by in English. We were able to make a deposit using VISA when we reserved on-line, but you'll need to pay your balance in cash.
