Nice little hotel, great location near the public gardens in the centre of town. The breaky is worth getting, ask to sit on the terrace if it's a nice morning. The lady that runs it is really lovely and her English speaking son is also great and very helpful eg to get the password for the free wifi. Big comfy rooms, comfy bed nice bathroom. A bit expensive but it was peak time in Biarritz. Very clean.

Stayed here for two nights in June. Was totally charmed by this gem of a place. Welcoming reception, spotless room, very comfy bed with high-end bathroom, and great breakfast coffee.
My room looked out over a beautiful flower filled garden, complete with water feature and enormous carp. The owners, who are very friendly and helpful, have created a special peaceful place right in the centre of Biarritz. I will be back.

we stayed just for one night passing through biarritz, very nice old style hotel, clean, comfortable and friendly, good old fashioned typical french breakfast where you get a pot of coffee and a jug of hot milk, which is just how i like it!

We stayed here for 5 nights for a conference and we enjoyed this very much. Owners are very friendly and charming. Our room was spacious and spotless, and we had a clean and comfortable bed. It is in walking distance to city center and beach. The breakfast was included in our booking and it was great, typically French (I liked its coffee). The bathrooms have been renovated and are modern and large. However, no lift is provided, so don't bring heavy luggage.
had a fantastic week, we would like to come back !

I stayed here for one night with my husband on our way to Bordeaux and found it to be a very pleasant stay. The hotel is in a very convenient location for the centre of Biarritz - and very well priced considering how expensive things were generally locally.

Our room was large and bright, with a modern and extremely clean bathroom, The bed was comfortable (had a lovely nights sleep and totally overslept for breakfast the next morning) and our room overlooked the lovely garden with it's water feature. It was quiet and tranquil - what more could you need? There is even free wifi to top it all.

The only downside (which didn't affect us since we had hardly any luggage and were given a room on the first floor) is that there is no lift. I guess this might be rather inconvenient had we had more stuff or had problems with stairs.

The hotel was also very convenient for the bus to the station since we needed to catch the TGV to Bordeaux.

This hotel is conveniently and centrally located, a short walk down to the beach and casino area. The 78 year old owner has been running the hotel for 40 years. She doesn't speak any English but if you can speak French you'll find out how sweet and charming she is. Her son is very friendly and he does speak English. The hotel is tastefully decorated and she maintains the property extremely well. It is spotless. We were in a room for 3 people but in fact it was two rooms in one with a door separating the two rooms, a very pleasant surprise. The owner had kindly shown us two rooms to choose from and this is the one we selected. We loved the view of the lovely garden, too. She also was a wonderful hostess the next morning for breakfast making us fresh squeezed orange juice and checking in often to see if we needed anything. I will definitely keep this address for the next time I am in Biarritz! Very good value for a town the size of Biarritz.

Hotel Maitagoria is a small, old-world, thoroughly French hotel which has been run by the same family since 1947. It's conveniently located on the Public Garden, a short distance from the Grande Plage. It's affordable, in a expensive community, and comfortable. I found it charming, and would be happy to stay there again. I particularly enjoyed the proprietors' collection of art.....

Room Tip: Be aware that there's no elevator!
