“Not any clue about client service!!!”
Reviewed 19 August 2013

I went to la Casa de Juan Pedro this summer with 4 other friends. We were the first to queue (it's always busy in August), but we understood rapidly that group of fewer than 4 people were to be given the priority because they needed only 1 table whereas we needed 2. We were told to wait a bit more but after 30 minutes we asked politely the waiter for more details about his plan, because the probability of two adjacent tables been freed at the same time was pretty low as smaller groups were going first. As the answer was quite vague, we suggested to take one table for our group of 5 persons. Then the waiter complained to his manager/cook who asked us in French (as we were all French): "What's your problem?". As a client I had never been said that, and telling the manager that it was not a way to treat clients his answer was to "go to another restaurant! We don't need you here!". So, honestly the food is great, the atmosphere awesome, but given that I work in London with an international background of people, I know that this French mentality ignoring everything about client service can rapidly drive some people out of their mind! In that case I wouldn't recommend La Casa de Juan Pedro

“Enjoyable meal right on the seafront”
Reviewed 7 August 2013

We had an idyllic meal here last week. The place gets very busy. Relatively cheap for Biarritz. Had Tuna which was very fresh. With rice and pepper sauce. The new Wifey had mussels in cream sauce with lots of bread. Great waitress who spoke English. Wouldn't hesitate going back. Think open air dining rather than restaurant style.

“Seafood next to an angry Atlantic”
Reviewed 4 July 2013

It's basic. Plastic tables and only the use a public toilet that is probably best avoided. Having said that it was a great seafood meal by the side of the ocean. We ordered various dishes, including some wonderful stuffed peppers, washed down with a carafe of acceptable white wine. It was such a great experience after some disappointing Michelin munching.

“Very average food to say the least”
Reviewed 3 July 2013 via mobile

Cheap place in a unique location but the food is very very average at best. Small mussels and calamari, the later is possibly the worst I have eaten anywhere. Much better places to go than here

“cute athmosphere and very tasty seafood”
Reviewed 23 September 2012

Octopus salad and chipirons (calamari) were delicious and soft. In addition, listening to the waves bouncing off the rocks while seafood is melting in your mouth is an unforgetable experience.
