After long day driving in France we needed good lodgings close to border. The hotel is located just 300m from the small Biarritz Airport terminal. Very quiet location though and well sound-proofed. Rooms smallish, but clean and I had te best sleep for a long time. Coffee/tea facilities in room. No English TV channels. Continental or English Breakfast (no fried eggs!) good, often replenished. Loads of parking around the hotel block, which looks a bit like a motel. All in all excellent value for money. 1 night 2 pers incl breakfast Euro 89.00

Except for the fact that you will get the occasional Air France jet taking off or landing (but not during normal sleeping hours), this affordable hotel was a real find - literally. In a nation that isn't always the best for letting you know where tourist needs are (like hotels), this one was in plain sight and easy to turn into. Room was sufficient, with all the basic amenities and a fair ambiance. Comfy bed. What more do you need?

How about plenty of parking, and something I never ever use: An on-premises restaurant. The food was plentiful, very good, great service. Not meaning to eat there at all, we ended having both Biarritz dinners there.

And the last thing you want to do in Biarritz is drive into the central core, so having a walk into town that you can make in twenty minutes was another joy of being here. The helpful staff and free wifi was also a plus. I'd stay here again if I was going back.

This hotel is 5 minuets walk from Bairritz airport. The rooms are small but fine for one night. Bathroom was ok and so was the bed. I don’t think theirs a lift at least we didn’t see one. This may be a problem to some. The best things about this hotel are the nearness to the airport and the restaurant. We had an excellent meal here. Not what you expect at a cheap airport hotel.

Using hotel as a stopover on a tour of France, we arrived and first impressions was its a Motel! However, those impressions were quickly dispelled by the quality of the room and restaurant facilities. We had been upgraded to a Superior room without asking! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean. Very modern and comfortable. The bathroom was excellent and the shower had an endless supply of hot water. Only downsides are no air-con (room got very warm) and the bath was shorter than most limiting the option of having a bath instead of a shower to those who are shorter than 5 feet tall. Food was excellent and considering its proximity to the airport we heard no planes at all. Wifi was free and very good, as was the TV. Would use this hotel again with confidence.

Stayed here one night for a break on our way to our villa on Costa del Sol. Had our little dog with us and told them when booking we required a room to accommodate his crate. When we arrived we were offered a room on the second floor although there are rooms on the ground floor with immediate access to outside. Asked if we could have a ground floor room because of the dog and the surly receptionist made a big show of trying to allocate one to us. What a laugh, only two other rooms appeared to be taken that night anyway! We asked how far it was to walk into town and she said 2km which seemed to be more like 4 miles. Decided to get a taxi back to eat in the restaurant at the Amarys. The taxi driver tried to skank us by charging 5euros over the price shown on the clock. Argued about that and settled on the clock price. Left a sour taste which became even more sour when we were told that the restaurant was closed at weekends and this on a Saturday evening! No where else to eat so had to buy food from a little supermarket and eat in our room. Fortunately had taken our travel kettle and provisions. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It is worth paying a little more for more amenities and closer to town.

Room Tip: My only tip would be not to bother going there.
