The classic decor and exquisite array of cakes lured us in. The mirrored dining room with unobstructed view to the sea was a lovely experience. We had coffee and cakes. The coffee was disappointingly bland but the cakes were as delicious as they looked. The service was rather offhand and the table a little sticky needing a proper clean. Those things rather detracted from what otherwise would have been a treat so we were keenly aware of it being overpriced.

Went for early supper. Good range of food, club sandwiches, quiches. Very helpful staff. Patisserie has lots to choose from too. Nice position looking out over the sea.

My friend and I went there for a dinner. We had a fish and a chicken - all was bloody good! )) Besides I had a glass of wine and a ice-cream, tea followed... All was about 58 euro... Though must admin next time we came - the food wasnt served and the service was a bit rough...

Anyway I would definitely recoomend this place!

P.S. You will have a nice view over the ocean!

These tea rooms were opened in 1872. It is like stepping back in time. Downstairs, the tea salon is at the back of the shop. Many of the tables have panoramic views of the sea. Upstairs is very belle epoque. Great selection of leaf teas and of course, the patisseries!

We were enticed into the Miremont by the beautiful period decor and the rows and rows of elegant looking cakes and confections.
As we were a large group we were not able to fit into the salon downstairs which was a shame as it is far prettier than the room upstairs which still has period features but is painted a rather garish pink and the furniture is a bit tired.
We ordered a lunch of croque monsieurs, omelette and Caesar salad. They were all tasty enough although the Caesar salad didn't bear resemblance to any I've had before. It came with a mustard sauce and there was no trace of any anchovies.
The experience was pleasant enough and it was nice to hear about the history of the place. But I think we'd have been better going for afternoon tea and cakes in a smaller group rather than lunch.
