“B & B with character”

Only stayed here for one night but it made a very pleasant change from the impersonal big chain hotels. Lovely bedroom with terrace and great breakfast. Made to feel very welcome and enjoyed hearing about the history of the house.

We so enjoyed our experience of this historic and magical hotel full with so many interesting things. The owner, Betty, is a lovely lady who was very welcoming and friendly. We stayed in the room with the terrace which was delightfully quirky and also very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was superb with a great selection of pastries, yoghurt, fruit, etc., all beautifully presented. I would highly recommend this hotel, which I believe is the oldest building in Bergerac. Thank you Betty for sharing your beautiful house with us. We will be back!

My husband and I stayed at this really quaint and quirky house for 3 nights in June and really enjoyed it, we had our 2 little dogs with us who were made to feel really welcome by Betty the lovely owner of the house.
We stayed in the room with the terrace which in itself was also lovely with candles to create an ambient atmosphere. The breakfast was very good with fresh croissants and breads and jams, very substantial.
I would highly recomend if you are looking for a relaxing break, Betty will make you feel very welcome,

Marian & Adrian

We overnighted here on our way to pick up a VW camper van from a new outfit (www. wedubyou.com) In the heart of the old town a stone's throw from the river and the old port. This is the oldest house in town, saved from the frequent fires that beset the rest. Winding stairs, oak beams and sloping floors. The house certainly had stories to tell as did the charming owner. Our hostess, from Paris, originally was keen to tell us the history. Nothing was too much trouble; really comfortable, lovely continental breakfast; we even left our bags her for the day waiting our camper van.

Room Tip: Quiet room at the back of the house but there is also a romantic roof top hide away complete with ha...

Charming B&B in a wonderful location in Bergerac, close to the river. The owner, Betty,
is a very interesting lady with interesting stories to tell about the place and its long history. Good breakfast, clean place.

Room Tip: The B&B comprises only two rooms, one with a terrace.

We happened upon this wonderful b&b whilst wondering around Bergerac on a rainy day. Betty welcommed us in and made us feel like we were home from home. The property itself is extremely charming with lots of quirky features and character. The property has an interesting history which Betty shared with us over breakfast. Our room was very cosy and welcoming with lots of old beams and quirky decor. The best feature was the terrace outside of our room complete with hammock, lanterns and plants. it provided a wonderful retreat from busy Bergerac and the rain and was a perfect spot to enjoy some of the local wine. Breakfast the next morning was lovely and Betty even packed us up a croissant to take to the airport. Excellent value for money. I will definitely be recommending this property and visitng again myself very soon. Thank you Betty x

We booked this B&B for an overnight stay in August 2011. We had booked the room with the terrace only to discover we couldn't have this room. Betty was very apologetic and even left a bottle of wine in our room to make up for the error.

The whole place and it's history is very interesting. Quirky and quaint.
Very well situated.

Overall, very happy with our visit!!!
