“Lovely gite in great location”
Reviewed 13 September 2017 for a stay in August 2017

Tranquil setting in a great location with good access to loads of great places to visit. The gite is clean and equipped with everything you need for a perfect holiday. The choice of bikes made for a lovely visit to the Chateau Lestevenie vineyard to buy more of the delicious wine that had thoughtfully been left as a welcome. The local boulangerie/pattesserie and shop both had a good, tasty selection of fresh bread/cakes - a must for every holiday. Would definitely recommend

“Idyllic week in France”
Reviewed 29 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Week away with the kids. Glorious sunshine all week. The accommodation is superb. We found L'Atelier to be luxurious with great facilities. Games room with table tennis and pool, loads of bikes to choose from. Nestled in between vineyards and plumb orchards the location was just spectacular. Few days trips out (Bergerac town for a meal, and Junior land - Water park for the kids). If you want a relaxing break in the Dordogne region then this is the place to go. We hope to be back.

“French rural idyll”
Reviewed 5 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Have just returned from a wonderful fortnight at Les Marais. Our property, L'Atelier was first rate probably the nicest holiday let we have ever stayed in. The house was very well equipped and extremely comfortable for the two of us. The other two properties on the site were both unoccupied during our stay so we had the whole site to ourselves. Things were so peaceful it was incredibly relaxing, lovely to sit outside and watch the local farmer go about his seasonal tasks in the vines and fruit trees.
Les Marais is ideally situated for visiting Bergerac, Monbazillac and the other wineries in the area, the train from Gardonne to Bergerac is good value and is particularly useful on market days when parking can be difficult if the town is busy.
The Lion D'Or in Saussignac is a wonderful little restaurant, the lunchtime set menu is excellent value and the food is first class.
If you are intending to visit places like Rocamadour, Martel and Sarlat it is worth remembering that they are a bit of a drive from the property , although they are well worth the effort.

Our second stay in this beautiful holiday cottage. Weather was great so the bicycles provided had very good use. As before accommodation spotless, comfortable and lovely. Swimming pool just great. Everything we needed was there in abundance. Can't wait till next time. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

“Absolutely beautiful!”
Reviewed 20 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We have just returned from a weeks stay here and wow what a beautiful place! The gite is gorgeous, spotlessly clean and has all the provisions you could possibly need. The decked area, complete with BBQ, table and chairs and swimming pool was lovely and we spent much of our time out there, enjoying the lovely views across the vineyards.

Our 2 year old daughter loved going swimming every day and had named the place 'daddy's house' by the end of the holiday! She enjoyed playing in the shaded sand pit and rummaging through the toys in the games room and selecting which bucket and spade to use!

We found the layout of the gite very practical and perfect for our requirements, especially with it all being on one level, which is very important with a lively toddler!

It's a lovely remote setting which offered plenty of privacy during our stay, however there is a supermarket only about 5 mins drive away in Gardonne so you don't feel you are too cut off or far away from any essentials you msg need.

We would highly recommend Les Marais and in particular L'Atelier, the gite we stayed in, although the other two gites were also beautiful.

We had an amazing holiday and would love to return someday to create more memories.
