Stayed for a long weekend good deal 39 Euros per night bargain!
The hotel is situated in a convenient location and car parking is ample and free either in front of hotel or on the river front which seems safe as there are lots of camper vans parked there, the entrance to the river front parking can be a little difficult as it’s a very tight turn.
The staff are helpful and friendly the rooms are clean and comfortable and the terrace is very welcoming for breakfast or evening drinks. Breakfast is buffet style all you can eat, with plenty of tea, coffee fruit juice. The only disappointment we had was an evening meal on Sunday as there wasn’t many places open decided to eat at the hotel, we had the plate of the day which was duck – it arrived and was like a cheap microwave meal, minced duck meat and mashed potatoes and a little salad, it really wasn’t what we had been expecting, it was over 10 Euros just for the plate - but other than that we had a brilliant stay and will be back.

This Ibis hotel is one of the nicer ones I have stayed in. The location could not be much better--it overlooks the Garonne river and our room had a gorgeous view of the Cathedral. It is close to all the shops and restaurants in the old city and if you are driving there is plenty of parking nearby. We really did have a lovely time here.

Price paid per night: 69 euros - quite a lot for an Ibis
Would I stay again for the price? Maybe
Would I recommend it for the price? Yes, probably
The good:
- location
- strong shower
The bad:
- difficult hotel to access by car as it's on a busy street right on the water
- hotel manager has strange and somewhat unhelpful manner

The best thing about the hotel is that it's right near the old town centre, which was perfect for walking around, especially to the weekly Wednesday morning local produce markets which were awesome!

We stayed at the IBIS hotel for 2 nights. This has been my first experience in an IBIS.
I believe you have good value for money. The rooms are small but adequate, you can move around and put in your suitcase. They have the basic shower which gives great hot water and pressure and a bed which is very comfortable. The heating was also good which is important. They have a bar and a restaurant which is very nice and both nights we had a drink in the bar before retiring. The staff were pleasant if you needed their help they were happy to assist. It is walking distance to town and lots of nice restaurants. The breakfast was adequate with a good selection. I found it great value for money. The staff also charged us the going rate for the days we stayed which was less than the rate we were advised which was a bonus.
If you are looking for a good basic hotel reasonably priced you cannot go past this one.

Had one night in May as a stopover between Bordeaux and Puy-de-Dome. Rooms are very clean. All furnishing is standard Ibis, including a sink that really didn't fit with the bathtub leading to a bit of a wet floor. AC was completely ineffective. We were told to open the window, but of course there are no screens and tons of bugs. Parking is 8 euro for a locked spot, other than that you're on your own - something we could not find anywhere in the Ibis website. AC and parking issues made this hotel a terrible value.

Internet is listed at outrages prices at reception, but they'll give you a 24H/200MB pass for free from Orange.

Finally, the hotel faces a fairly major road on one side and the cathedral on the other. When we asked for a quiet room on the cathedral side, we were told that it would be very loud because of some birds and that the roadside words would be much quieter. Knowing how traffic works, we chose the cathedral side anyway and had no noise issues and didn't hear any birds after dark.

Highly recommend Grotte de Rouffignac for cave paintings a little over a half hour from the hotel. Hour train ride deep into the caves, great guide (from the French we could understand), and amazing paintings and carvings.
