The food was great and the menu choice reasonable while the welcome and attentiveness of the waiters was also excellent.

Found this restaurant on a very wet day. We opted for the plat de jour which started with one of the best quiche dishes I have ever eaten. My husband had steak to follow and although he likes his steak cooked rare at home medium cook here was still exceptionally rare. I opted for pollack in parsley sauce which was delightful. We both finished with an exceptional creme brûlée. I would definitely recommend a visit here.

We had eaten lunch here three times before always just for one course (dinner at night to eat) so liked it enough to return. A word here about making a choice from the very many places along this Avenue. Between two favourable menus I always pick the establishment with ashtrays on the tables outside. Smoking is not yet a hanging offence, so good for Le Cosy.
This was a Saturday so choosing from the carte was obligatory. One took hake at 13.50 euros and it came with some crushed potatoes. It was fine but not very big. The skate wing must have come from a child raie it was so small. If you scraped all the flesh off it, it might have yielded a heaped pudding spoon. One boiled potato accompanied it the size of a hens egg and sliced into eight. I have not missed out veg. or garnish because there weren't any. Taste good, caper sauce good but very sparce.
What made me finally think we were being had was the bread was two pieces only and no butter.
There is plenty of competition on this Avenue and I cannot understand why an establishment that is popular and serves good ingredients should risk being so stingy.

Despite having a house in Concarneau for years we forgot again the situation with restaurant openings on Jan 1st , this led to the serendipitous discovery of Le Cosy Bar . Great ambience, good food , especially the salad sud-oeste, tasty succulent steaks and a fabulous fondant au chocolate.Reading other reviews perhaps we were lucky because they were quite quiet so the service efficient and food excellent, but I have taken the effort to write the review to applaud this relatively new venue. Good luck and keep going. Only criticism, having the blinds down in the evening , although offering privacy to diners does make the restaurant look shut!!

.... where you might be luckier to get better food.
The "Salade gourmande" was awfully sandy (the second serving after complaining not much better), the fish to well cooked (which means to dry), and the meat dish not really tasty.
Maybe the kitchen was too much under pressure, but should one be sorry with them?
