“great location”

This hotel is located in city centre, it's beautiful and affordable! I had a spacius room, which was pretty much essential but clen, with a window over the street! There's a small parking in the hotel, too.

Really nice little hotel right in the centre of this beautiful town. The room itself was very plain but nice and clean and the young couple who ran it were lovely. Its a beautiful city and it makes all the difference being so central. It wasnt particularly cheap - I think we paid 108 euro per night for two adults and two small children with NO breakfast. Having said that it was a great location and I would return.

I booked this hotel through Brittany Ferries holidays, before I read any reviews. I must admit to being a little sceptical after reading other peoples thoughts.
What a surprise when I arrived, the hotel is located in the centre of the historic town, overlooking a square where local artistes perform regularly.
The room was not exceptional but, clean and very functional, all three windows opened and closed with ease.
The shower was fun, a button on the handset has to be held in, to get water through. This was far easier to achieve if I held the button for the wife and she did the same for me, brought back memories.
The breakfast was a crossiant and half a baggette with butter and jam, there was yoghut and honey if you wanted it, and an endless supply of the tea and coffee, including green tea.
The staff were excellent, always available to help with maps and directions, they also recommended good local eating places.
Parking at the hotel is available, and during our stay the hotel as full, yet there was still space in the car park.
Overall I was very pleased with my stay.

This hotel isn't the newest hotel, but it was exactly what we needed as we travelled from Bayeux to Sarlat. The bed was comfortable, the staff was very inviting and accomodating, and the town is a great place to learn some medieval history and eat at mouth watering creperie. The bathroom needed some updating, but it was acceptable.

A great little place to stay if you are happy with basic accommodation. We stayed in room 14. Nice and clean. Radiators were on full blast all night so very warm. Only french TV stations available so it was nice to get into a good book after a days touring. It had an eco friendly shower which meant you had to hold in a button for water - so you had to soap and rinse in turn! No tea/coffee making facilities so remember the kettle etc. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was basic but sufficient. Plenty of coffee. It has a lift which is great for people with mobility problems or those with heavy luggage!! Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

  • Liked — A friendly and helpful service. Nothing was too much trouble. English speaking.
  • Disliked — No temperature control on radiators.

The best thing we can say about this place is the reception lady was very friendly and helpful and referred us to a great restaurant.
It has a good down town location.
The hotel is tired and badly in need of an update.
Room gave a dumpy impression with dirty stained carpeting.
Cheap WIFI available but should be complimentary.
Breakfast was cheap but too basic.

Stayed here for the 2nd time at the beginning of July. You really can’t fault the location. Right in the middle of town, easy walk to all the sights and restaurants. Seemed to be pretty full during our stay (British and Americans). English willingly spoken for those who need it. Seems to have been taken over by the “Contact Hotels” Group since our last stay which would explain why previous contributors have recently struggled to find hotel’s distinct website. Room 15 on 1st floor was just right, clean and comfortable, and I think typical of the rooms available. Wi-fi is apparently available in the rooms for those who can’t bear to escape for a few days. Breakfast is half and a baguette and a croissant per person, orange juice and plenty of tea/coffee/hot chocolate all served with a smile and good humour. Would imagine it would get a bit boring after a few days. Al in all, a great place to stay and would certainly return again. Just seems a shame that the hotel doesn’t also provide a kettle and some coffee/tea making stuff in the room. The hotel does have it’s own car park which is undoubtedly a big bonus in Dinan. However, it is small and although we managed to find somewhere each night, later arrivals were not so fortunate. Do go, it’s good fun.

  • Liked — Friendliness
  • Disliked — Limited breakfast choice, lack of tea/ coffee facilties in room.
