“Excellent Stopover”
Reviewed 18 May 2012

We were lucky enough to have a month in Normandy and Brittany and stayed in this hotel on our last night before catching the ferry at St Malo. The hotel is in a picturesque spot with good parking and the delightful old town of Dinan is just a few minutes walk. Our room was very spacious and comfortable and overlooked the pool. The hotel restaurant was fully booked the night we arrived (Saturday). However, there is a large choice of restaurants in the town but be warned they filled up quickly. We could recommend Le Cottage restaurant where we enjoyed a wonderful meal.

The hotel staff were all professional, courteous and helpful and most spoke excellent English. The old bridge was closed due to repairs and the hotel thoughtfully contacted us to give us alternative directions which we appreciated. We would love to return to Dinan sometime and would definitely stay in this hotel.

Very attractive hotel from outside with a lovely sunny terrace overlooking the river, i could have spent many hours there. Our room however was disappointing, although adequatly furnished it looked out onto the road leading to the carpark and the museum nextdoor(which happened to have a very noisy party). Having stayed here a few years ago I know the other side of the hotel has a charming view ocross the pool and at 110 euro's a night I expected better.
We dined in the hotel and found the food good but limited in choice. Service was a little slow but as there were two large parties this was perhaps unusual.
We might stay again but only in a better appointed room.

Excellent room with large comfortable bed and bathroom en suite with bath and shower. Beautiful local small port with very good restaurants a few minutes walk from hotel. Old walled town of Dinan 15 minutes walk up hill. Good breakfasts and very helpful staff speaking excellent English.

We stayed 2 days. The staff was very friendly and helpfull, good comfortable room (although the mattras was a little bit too hard for me). Good location. Within 10-15 minutes on foot (taking the famous street Jerzual) you are in the center of Dinan. And the location itself is quiet, easy to park your car, with a private parking place, with a nice view over the small cosy harbour from Dinan. A lot of choice at breakfast. For me it was a little bit a pitty that there was no more local, and "homemade" or organic quality like for the bread, confitures, honey, cereals. ALthough they offer you good quality brands.
The restaurant is also very good food for a reasonable price.

We stayed at this hotel as part of a Brittany Golf holiday. The shower in our twin room (33) was not separated from the rest of the bathroom. Consequently the whole bathroom got very wet!
This was a pity as we only discovered at check out that this was one of the only two rooms that had not been upgraded. Disappointing considering the hotel was not full.
Also the twin beds were very narrow, especially for two golfers!

Otherwise well located for the port restaurants, ample free parking, friendly staff, goodish breakfast and free wi-fi.

Room Tip: Avoid room 33!

Great little hotel although we had a really hard time finding it as there was construction going on and the signs pointing to the hotel from the direction we were coming from kept pointing us the wrong way. Took us about an extra hour to find the right route after asking many kind locals. Very comfortable bed and quite hotel. We had a nice relaxing bath in the jacuzzi too.

We had a nice dinner at La Venezia across the bridge. Really cute family restaurant with tasty food.

Room Tip: Only problem with a good nights rest was the hall light that came on automatically and there is shad...

i travel there every quarter for my jon. they know my name, and upgrade me to the newest room. Last time they gave me a free plate of crepes with cider.
Hotel has a good restaurant and is located, even if not in the dinan city center, on the lovely harbour
Breafast is a buffet with ham, croissants, toast, cereals,... for a 14 euros fee
Hotel improved its offer since a couple of years by adding a spa, training room, free wifi. heated pool during summer.
A good adress for a business trip! i like the fact as well , that during busy summer, they always find me a room at a decent price (while prices jumps 50% between winter and summer)
They know, despite being french, what is customer service. And, seeing the number of foreign cars, they know how to cater foreign tourists
