“Lovely location and all you'd want”
Reviewed 28 July 2013

This is a very nice, modern hotel on the banks of the River Rance in the Port of Dinan. Its location couldn't be better as you can sit in the outside bar/restaurant and look up at the city walls or watch the folks in rental boats glide past on the water. My room was large with an excellent and very modern shower set up. The staff were very accommodating, even though they were about to crushed with a very busy next few days putting up with a team racing in theTour de France and multiple media groups following along. The pool is pleasant but contained in the courtyard and that can give a little bit of a claustrophobic effect. I'll likely be back sometime in the future.

Room Tip: The upper floors on the north side give you a view of Dinan

We recently stayed in this little hotel enroute to the ferry port of Caen as we wanted to explore the beautiful town of Dinan. Although initially a little difficult to find,it was well worth it when we got there as the setting was perfect, situated on one side of a scenic river with narrow boats and a beautiful view.We were greeted by a lovely, friendly gentleman at reception who explained everything about the hotel and gave us each a plush velour towel for the pool. Our grandchildren loved the pool which was very secure, clean and had plenty of comfortable loungers - and what a suntrap!!
There is also a hottub with its own little verandah with two sun beds and a small but well equipped gym. Our rooms,on the ground floor had recently been refurbished and were cool and well designed with an extremely comfortable king-sized bed and a super bathroom with an excellent walk-in shower. We did not have dinner in the restaurant as it was very busy, but chose to walk over the bridge to the other side of the river which was lined with open-air restaurants. The breakfast buffet was ample with plenty of choice, although the bread & crepes ran out quite early on,but they supplemented these with plenty of little croissants and Danish pastries.
Although you can drive into town (about 5mins away) there is a lovely, but very steep walk up to the town along an old cobbled streets which is well worth doing if you have enough energy left after the gym and a swim!
We are looking forward to visiting Dinan again and would not hesitate to stay in this hotel.

Room Tip: I think all rooms are probably good although you can upgrade to rooms with a little verandah on the...

Very well positioned hotel with plenty of parking. Ideal for walking into Dinan so long as you don't mind the steep, cobbled uphill trek! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, with a good command of English. The hotel itself is modern and very clean with a nice pool and jacuzzi. There is also fitness room for the more energetic visitor! Towels and robes were provided free of charge for poolside use. On the downside, although our room was quite spacious it lacked any drawers for underwear etc. Also, although there were mirrors in the bathroom, there was no mirror at all in the bedroom, which was a bit annoying. In addition the bed, although huge, was quite hard. Regarding the food, the breakfast at 14 euros was a bit steep for what was a fairly average buffet style breakfast. We only had one evening meal in the restaurant as we found it quite expensive for unremarkable food, We considered the food and prices at the riverside restaurant just over the bridge to be much better value. All in all however we would most certainly stay at Hotel Jerzual again.

Room Tip: Can only comment on our own room (102) which overlooked the restaurant and the river - quiet and wit...

This is the place to stay in Dinan! Modern, refurbished hotel in a lovely location. Friendly, helpful staff especially Erwan, who greeted us on our arrival. We cannot praise this hotel enough and would stay here again on a return visit to Dinan. E-bike hire is available within two minutes of the hotel and off road cycling on tow paths/ diused railway line from Dinan. A great way to discover the surrounding area.

stayed just for one night and picked this hotel from TA reviews and we weren't disappointed. You should be aware that the hotel is at the base of the cliff of Dinan, by the quai/river side, so if you want to go into town it will be a walk up a steep hill, with cobbles! Or take the car which is what I did! But the quai side is lovely and very picturesque, with plenty of cafes and restaurants to visit. The hotel is easy to find and has a large car park. The reception was welcoming and the staff spoke excellent English. Our room was on the ground floor overlooking the pool and with a small terrace with a couple of chairs and a table. Air con was great, and soundproofing superb so a very quiet room considering the hotel is built around a quadrangle with the pool in the middle. The room had two beds, large bathroom, tea/coffee facilities. We didn't eat in the restaurant for dinner or breakfast, only because of the variety of the places around, but dinner did look reasonably priced.

I have a mental checklist for hotel rooms that covers mine and my parther's needs: clean, full length mirror, bedside lamps, opening window, TV not mounted on the wall at some ridiculous height, proper toiletries and so forth.

This hotel met all our needs and more. The location is excellent if you want to be in the port area of Dinan. You can walk to the city via the rather steep Rue Jerzual in 15 minutes or so if you are reasonably fit, and walk back in rather less time! We didn't use the hotel's bar or restaurants as there plenty of local places within a few minutes walk. The room was very clean, tastefully decorated in a modern style with an excellent shower room.

I must also commend the staff for their friendliness and helpful attitude, way above what you might expect from a chain hotel.

We very much enjoyed our stay here.

Room Tip: None of the rooms have a river view, so personally I didn't think it worth paying extra for a po...

Located at the port of Dinan, this hotel is somewhat outside the city in a very quite place. We arrived there June 21 for the Summer festival. The hotel is clean, modern and quite. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the rooms were very clean.

Worth the money spent. We will be back. Dinan is a very nice city, probably the best city we visited in Bretan.

Room Tip: Only if you prefer staying outside the city. I would consider staying there only with a car.
