“Informative - in French”
Reviewed 29 July 2013

The sights were interesting and the pace about right. If your French is weak be sure to stand near the guide.

“Wonderful castle”
Reviewed 31 October 2012

An intriguing castle with 2 towers to visit and fascinating exhibitions. Typically French in layout using the building as a backdrop rather than recreating scenes. Well restored. Lots of spiral staircases to climb! The crypt has fascinating tomb effigies which say much about the roles and status of men and women in the Middle Ages.

Enjoyed my visit, good value and the loo in the dungeon is an interesting feature!

“Historic Brittany at its best”
Reviewed 5 January 2012

We simply love Dinan & visit at least 6 times a year
( we do live only 35 minutes away!)

The view from the ramparts is stunning

To fully appreciate Dinan park your car by the port & walk up along the cobbled streets to the old town. At the Porte de Guichet take the steps on the left and follow the pathway. There are magnifient views over the valley.

The old town centre itself is simply charming There are an abundance of pavement cafes & bistros, a perfect place to relax and 'waste' an afternoon!
