Brilliant but slowly getting worn down visiting amazing churches in Europe. perhaps a trip to concarneau instead?
lots of tourist shops (over priced> and good creperies.

This is a typical RC cathedral but the stained glass windos are superb. You can spend a considerable amount of time trying to decipher the panels and then trying to follow the story through each panel in the window. The only thing that bemused me was that it closes for lunch! Not unusual for a tourist attraction but for a place of worship...?!

The cathedral’s best asset is the location snugly nestled among older building in the heart of Quimper. The outside rivals most French cathedrals we have seen, but the inside is rather plain. There was a quaint crèche with Breton figures in addition to some lovely stained-glass windows. Right next door is a tripadvisor-neglected museum, the Musée Départemental Breton, which boasts a wonderful and wondrous collection of Breton regional costumes, furniture, art, and historic photographs. Could have spent an entire day in that museum.
