a lovely hotel, excellent rooms and dining even though it was late october the town was still buzzing with tourists and not all businesses were closed for the season.
the hotel staff were very helpful and all the facilities are clean and modern. we spent an excellent week there and would recommend it to anyone

Room Tip: 220 big room and plenty of space with a balcony

After careful research we booked this hotel for 4 nights. Decor and ambience faultless, service impeccable. We booked a standard/basic room which was large, superb decor and an absolute delight. Great value. Even the indoor pool was well heated, well maintained and a joy to use, despite being a little small. Only drawback, the walk into the town centre was only for the fittest of guests being situated high on a hill just outside town.

It was clean and comfortable .

We took an apartment with two bedrooms as it was the only room left in the resort. Didn't like the fact that the person who checked us in did not bother to tell us there was a wonderful antique yacht festival in town that night and it wasn't till we saw all the fireworks at 11.30 pm we realized anything was happening. How sad to hear and see down at the River the next morning all the wonderful things / food / bands/ yachts. etc that had been available for the evening. It is the first place in over 50 yrs of travelling where we had to clean our unit to immaculate condition and have it checked, frig, bed linen stripped, unit vacuumed, Shower screens cleaned, etc. etc. before we left. Also in the units there was NO air con. Being a family / friendly resort we had to put up with noisy children in the unit next door. The twin room was so tiny, the bed had to be moved to get to the wardrobe The building looks lovely from the outside. The staff the following morning were very friendly. Long way to walk downtown if their restaurant is closed.

Room Tip: Ask for one away from crying babies and fighting young ones. Ask for a room in the hotel part if yo...

This is a tricky one to review as it has all the potential of being a really good hotel in a lovely little town. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we were tired after a longish journey - we had called on the way and were undecided about taking a family suite (which we had to commit to for 3 days) or a family room/two rooms. The receptionist said we could make our mind up when we arrived but when we got there the last family suite had just gone. We considered one of the self catering houses they also have on site which was perfectly acceptable but a little dark inside and finally agreed on two double rooms next to each other in a sort of annexe. The receptionist agreed we could have these at a reduced rate because the suite had gone. Both had small balconies and were modern, very clean and comfortable though a bit 'boxy'. In retrospect we were glad not to have committed to three days there as really one/two days in Pont Aven is enough just to get a taster of the town (although there is plenty to do - boat trips, kayaking, walking etc) and we wanted to head further to the coast. As my husband said - the hotel just needs to settle in a bit. It looks new and a little bit corporate and I think the bar/lounge areas could do with getting rid of the bright pink chairs and sofas and get more of a relaxed country house feel. We did use the pool which was fine but didn't eat in the restaurant which did look a nice space to eat in. There are quite a few steps to the town but they are spaced out a bit and should only really be a problem for the elderly or infirm. Pont Aven is very pretty and worth a stay over but much preferred the art galleries and art in Auray! The hotel staff are great and this hotel is a very good option (probably the best) for staying in Pont Aven.

Room Tip: Probably the rooms/suites in the house part of the hotel are a bit more atmospheric than the newer b...

This is a strange one to review. It ticks all the boxes re comfort, cleanliness, facilities etc, yet there is something missing and I can't put my finger on it. Perhaps it was the lack of people thus robbing it of any atmosphere. I don't know.

The hotel is very comfortable and well-appointed. The rooms were rather dull in their furnishings, but everything was of a high quality. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was large and spotless. We had a ground floor suite which had a nice terrace in front. There are tea/coffee making facilities.

The garden is particularly nice as is the sun deck. We didn't avail of the spa or pool, so can't comment on them. They did look good though.

Service was friendly and helpful.

The problem with the ground-floor room is that it is directly above the pool and one can hear the low hum from the filters all night-then around 8am the noise gets a little louder. NOT great if you want to sleep in!

Breakfast was a little disappointing as there was no cooked option.

Room Tip: Make sure you are not directly above the pool!

This hotel is brand new with an interesting style. Lots of black and neutral colors in the room and in the lobby hot pink couches and some pretty good art. The room itself was a suite with a little terrace and a view - excellent value. The walk down to Pont Aven is quite steep but not that arduous. However, I recommend driving to a restaurant for the evening meal to avoid coming up the hill in the dark. Au Petit Bouchon in Pont Aven is amazing.

The staff at the hotel were very sweet and accommodating. I enjoyed swimming laps in the small, black pool. I've never seen a black swimming pool! But the ultra modern style kind of worked; it was certainly original.

Breakfast was fine - good coffee. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel for a night in lovely Pont Aven. We liked being on the hill above the town.

Room Tip: Get a room with a view over the forest towards Pont Aven.
