Stayed here on spec mid week on a special offer anticipating a bit of luxury based on the web description. First problem was actually driving past the hotel as it was so non-descript, and in fact even after finding it, it initially looked as if it was closed and had been for some time. Access is up small side road leading to small secure parking area. Had a room in the "contemporary" wing rather than the "traditional" section and can not comment on the latter. Contemporary appears to equal pine cladding and dark colours and did not extend to the furniture. That said the bathroom was modern and spacious and had a seperate wet room. Staff were very helpful and attentive likely helped by the fact that not many people were staying at the time. Biggest bugbear is having to book the pool (small and in immediate public view of the reception) and the steam room. Suspect this would be a problem area if hotel was only moderately full. Unable to comment on the restaurant as menu was not to our liking. Walk into Rennes itself is easy and takes around 15mins although in no way can be described as scenic. Breakfast was better than usual for a French establishment but no more than average. Small secluded garden/table area is pleasnt enough but not maintained to a high standard.
In summary it would not be worth staying at full advetised price, had a general "jaded" feel to it and certainly not up to expectations of a Spa/four star hotel.

Dear Madam,

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay in our Hotel, we are indeed very proud to create a peaceful place in Rennes downtown’s agitation. We appreciate your comprehension about our ecological engagement and we want you to know that even trying to save the planet we also take very care of our Customers and that’s why we propose our own ecological and responsible range of cosmetic products which everybody can try on our self-service table on the reception desk.

We hope that you’ll have the occasion to come back to try to our Cuisine.

We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your room. All of them were created in a personal design to make feel our customers as in a “cocoon”.

Eventually, it is a good choice to book your room in advance and to profit of best prices. You can also follow our special offers on our internet site where you can find some promotional offers all the year.

Thank you a lot to share your opinion about our Hotel.
Best Regards.

We have just returned home from a stay in this hotel, it is very pleasant indeed. The staff are friendly and helpful, the room we stayed in was lovely (Cafe) with a bath with shower over and a wetroom, so all options were catered for.
The meal in the restaurant was absolutely fabulous, as we expected and there was plenty to choose from at the buffet breakfast.
The hotel is a short walk into the town centre and we were able to park in the hotels secure car park.
All in all it was a really good place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: We were in the new wing of the hotel, at the rear of the hotel, never heard any traffic noise etc and had a good nights sleep.

Not one of my usual stops, or indeed one that I would have planned to use. However, young colleague who is just joining us insisted on makin gthe bookings so I found us at Lecoq.
As an historical point, this is where many of the supporters in the Dreyfuss Affaire came to meet. That aside there is little to note in this hotel.
The rooms are gaily attired according to the way that they have been named. Mine was Charpentre <Rustic>, Colleagues was Romantic <Pink>.
The staff were very helpful and spoke very good English. Restaurant was all booked out in the evening so we went to town instead. Though to be honest it seems that a hotel should <at least> cater for its guest.
This was a business trip so no time for spa etc.
Room was clean and compfortable, CNN news available on TV.
Bathroom was OK apart from the lack of shower, but that is fairly typical for a french town hotel.
Checkout the next day took ages - a half four for two of us.
This is a nice hotel with pretensions of a spa.

To my mind itds badly located for town, and not rural enough for a spa.
Breakfast was ok.

Parking was limited in unsecured car park opposite hotel.

Room Tip: Don't book Ecossaise unless you like Tartan.
