Following a short vacation to St Malo we overnighted at this hotel prior to catching the TVG to Avignon early the next morning. The hotel is extremely well located to the train station, has had a recent modern refurbishment and was very clean and comfortable. There is only one lift which is quite small yet it proved quite functional. Breakfast was simple, ample but lacked hot options. Check in and check out was both pleasant & efficient and the staff were courteous. Only breakfast is available but there are many eating options close by. Recommended for an overnight/short stay or while on business.

This is a business hotel designed for short stays overnight. The reception , bar and breakfast area are well decorated , light and pleasant. The rooms however are something else. The room was tiny and you could 'just' walk around the bed. The bathroom was tiny and 'frightening'. The corridors were also narrow and had the uncanny habit of not lighting until you were halfway down them. It is probably a good , low cost businessman's hotel but as a couple and tourists avoid it. The staff were pleasant and the location great , right at the train station but that is about all it had going for it.

however, be warned access by car difficult at the moment - mid may - due to roadworks and an enforced one way system that takes you all around and for parking - which you have to do in the train station car park - we went round 3 times because we kept missing the turning for parking ! hotel website should have made the car parking situation clearer I think. so apart from that nice and clean, excellent check in receptionist was lovely and her English was superb. really good shower and the all day tea, coffee and water is a nice touch. plenty of restaurants and bars in the immediate vicinity

I was surprised by the size of my room where only the bed fit; the bathroom was small as well - but overall it was a rather standard hotel and ok for one night.

The included all you can eat buffet was much appreciated and good quality. The location is really good (close to the station, with restaurants just around the corner) and very quiet.

They change the Wi-fi password everyday so you have to ask again.

We have stayed in the hotel for one night. We checked in quite late but still, the lady at the front desk was very kind and helpful! It's nice to be welcomed by somebody, who is smiling! It's rare in France;) Breakfast was great. I've couldn't asked for more!

Ibis is a good brand. Rooms are consistently clean (and consistently cramped - but expected). Service is usually okay, and it was decent at this location. But the lobby blared music so it was impossible to relax or think. Ibis represents itself as a business-frIiendly hotel, but the lack of true internet support disqualifies a property. In fact, basic Internet services are the price of entry for a hotel today. This hotel has a single kiosk at the entrance with a limit of 15 minutes use and no ability to print.

It's a pleasant location with a cheery decor. But the noise and the lack of basic busness amenities disqualifies it as a serious hotel. I have rated "service" poor, not because the people at the desk are awful (they are average - not unhelpful, but not helpful), but because certain things are expected in a hotel today, good Internet capabilities are part of that.
It's also a bit overpriced for its tiny rooms.

Room Tip: Be careful to bring your printed confirmation with you. They may charge you more, claiming you book...

Just opposite the SNCF Gare. Suitable as a base for making day trips to tour the neighboring areas (such as St Malo, Mont-St-Michel, etc.) if you are not driving. Free coffee bar is an added value. As usual, Ibis rooms are small. However, it doesn't really matter if you are simply looking for a quality-assured clean and tidy room with hot shower, so that you can sleep well after spending most of your time away from the hotel.
