Spent 3 nights here with some friends. Had a reasonable room with adequate bathroom. Cleanliness good. Breakfast a typical French combination of cold meats, cheese, bread and pastries etc. - perfectly acceptable. Other reviewers have referred to the lack of a lift, so if you have mobility problems.... (Though there is a room on the ground floor.)
Reserved the hotel's parking and found the provided garage a very tight squeeze - though I improved with experience! It's useful, as public parking is difficult to get, particularly during the summer.
The hotel's restaurant served us an excellent meal on one evening and is recommended. (I've visited St Malo many times over the years and have tried many of its restaurants, some of which are excellent and this one would be in my top ten.)
Overall a reasonably priced basic hotel with the distinct advantage of being within the walls.More
