A modern sophisticated hotel within close proximity of the old town and sea. Competitive price for a 4 star (could easily be a 5 star) hotel. Thank you.

Un hôtel moderne et sophistiqué à proximité de la vieille ville et la mer. Prix compétitif pour un 4 étoiles (pourrait facilement être un 5 étoiles) hôtel. Merci.

This is a fairly modern hotel and is meant to be 4 stars. It was our last night in France before catching the ferry the following morning so I aimed to book something a little bit special and paid a lot of money for the privilege. Unfortunately, the hotel was a disappointment. Parking was tight, even with a little car and checkin was fine. First impressions of the room are extremely important to me and when we entered the room, I could immediately see that the window which was a floor to ceiling window facing the sea, was in fact extremely dirty which obscured the otherwise perfect view which I had paid a premium for! There was also a dreadful low whistling noise that occurred every time the wind blowed and you could clearly hear the traffic outside. We couldn't really bear to stay in the room for long so we hurried to get ready and go out. On the way, we asked reception to clean the window. After a drink in the Old Town, we arrived back and went to the bar. Service was non existent, so we had to go to reception. The receptionist that checked us in then came to the bar and served us. Clearly there are not enough staff at this four star hotel and the bar was dirty with leftover plates and dirty glasses just left on the bar. On settling down for the night, the large beds were extremely uncomfortable and sagged greatly. They seemed as if they were going to swallow you up! This coupled with the whistling noise of the wind led to a very very poor sleep. I was extremely upset and disappointed with this hotel. It's definitely not a 4 star and I would not recommend to anyone.

Room Tip: Don't stay at this hotel - It's all fur coat and no knickers.

Great location for the walled city and restaurants.
Hotel room was good size, and comfortable. Just the errors on my bill leaving, which I now have to sort out back in the Uk, so parking charges and breakfasts not taken

Three of us stayed in room 405 (I am an adult and was traveling with my parents). We arrived late and received a champagne welcome. We ordered room service, which was a great relief since we were driving most of the day and didn't settle in until 10 p.m. There was gated parking underneath the hotel. Our room was fabulous with a large balcony overlooking the beach, tons of storage space, a great in-room coffee maker, free sparkling and flat water provided daily, plus a jacuzzi tub, robes and slippers. The room had three (THREE!!!!!) televisions. We loved it, the entire space felt clean, contemporary, unique and pampering.
The location was great with very easy walking access to the Intra-Muros, great restaurants (we recommend the Duchess Anne). The morning breakfast buffet was also very good at the Oceania. We truly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to our friends.

On our tour through Brittany we stopped for three nights in Saint Malo, opting for a junior suite with balcony, jacuzzi style bathtub and superb 180 degree view over the beach across the street. It's located at less than five minutes walk to the spectacular old town with plenty of restaurants and brasseries.
The only room for improvement we saw was the size of parking lots in the underground parking and the quite restricted number of seats in the breakfast/restaurant area - we recommend to take the breakfast at the room which is offered for 6 EUR supplement.

Location: conveniently located by the beach front and within 6 minutes walking distance to the Old City for a range of dining and shopping options
Cleanliness: very clean and bright
Décor and view: excellent, modern and stylish, the bar overlooks the sea offering a truly beautiful view
Service: good service overall. Onsite car-park was most useful to us.
Rooms: good size, nice bathroom, accessible to senior / less mobile travellers, but note the rooms do not have any tea or coffee making facilities.

Lovely hotel in the historic town if Saint Malo. We are in Brittany and it's beautiful. Rainy somewhat in June but had lovely meals of seafood and crepes. Would be back in a heartbeat, sitting on small balcony watching the tide come and go. Amazing!

Room Tip: Facing the water
