This was our second stay at La Villefromoy, despite knowing that it is very expensive (especially the breakfast). The staff, the decor, the comfort and ambience are all excellent. The hotel is well placed for a good walk along the beach for an evening meal at the excellent fish restaurant Brasserie du Sillon. The carpark is well managed with pre-allocated spaces for booked parking.

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel in the first half of September 2013. The hotel was charming, with a nice view of the ocean from our room, and the staff were helpful and pleasant, providing recommendations for local dining and nearby shops. It is well-located, only two blocks from the water and close to restaurants and shops; and about a one-half hour walk from the walled old city.

The hotel is only a few steps from the seafront, which has amazing architecture so the walk into the old town is really scenic. The hotel itself is gorgeous - recently renovated rooms, and a simply fabulous lounge (fully stocked bar, games, magazines etc). Breakfast, although quite expensive, was great, but what makes the hotel is the exquisite service from Jean Paul and his colleagues. Highly recommended.

Located close to and within site of the sea. It is a brisk 2km walk into the old city of St Malo. The hotel is very comfortable and notably has wonderful décor. Everything has obviously been chosen with great care and veuve. The breakfast is to die for and the rooms are comfortable. Above and beyond the wonderful ambience the staff are the most helpful, caring and conscientious I have ever come across.

Room Tip: Book early and try for rooms with a view of the sea
