“Great & cosy hotel with friendly owners!”

We stayed right in Saint Malo in Quic En Groigne. Owner was friendly, helped us with our luggages. He also gave us suggestions on where to go for our meals in Saint Malo. Room is a little small but we didn't expect much since we are only there for one night before going to Mont St Michel.

I stayed here in 2011 and found the staff incredibly friendly, warm and welcoming. The hotel was comfortable and all that I needed. On a subsequent visit to St Malo (only passing through on this occasion) the staff were tremendously helpful when we found ourselves in need even though we weren't staying there. I'd wholeheartedly recommend this place as a wonderful and inexpensive oasis.

We used trip advisor to help find a hotel and it just didn't let us down with this place.

On arrival we were greater at reception and although our room wasn't ready (11am) they took our bags and told us our room, supplied us with the key and told us about security. We were then given a map and advised of places to go and do and where we might eat.
Loved this touch as we were new to the town it was good to have a bit of knowledge.
On our return to the hotel our bag was in our room. The room was lovely and clean, not to big a room bit what more do you need.
The bed was comfy and the bit I especially liked was the wee cubby hole with a plug socket next to each side of the bed, brilliant for charging up you phone.
The shower in the bathroom was also good.
Down sides?? Could hear the shower in the next room but that wasn't too loud.
Really recommend this place, good value for money and just what you need for a wee overnight stay

I have just returned from my third visit to the Quic en Groigne, Saint-Malo. I didn't want to leave! Travelling alone, it was lovely to receive a genuinely affectionate welcome and a :'Happy to see you again' from both Michele and Marie Dominique which,, along with a wonderful comfy bed, a well-lit and spotlessly clean bedroom and bathroom, constant hot water and a satisfying French breakfast make this the best B and B ever, anywhere!

Room Tip: All three rooms have been fine. Noise subsided early and allowed an excellent night's sleep.

Excellent stay the hosts could not have been more obliging or helpful spoke fluent English. Lovely atmosphere lovely courtyard in such a busy area. So pleased with our room. Location was great for exploring the area and we were in the hub of it all for the nightlife. We actually booked through the information centre on arrival who went out of their way to be helpful. We also visited St Mont Michel. There is a bus opposite the Information Centre outside the wall No.10 that goes to St Malo at 10 am daily and comes back at around 5. Just so easy.

After a recent visit to see family in the Mayenne region my partner and i traveled back for the Condor ferry and arrived late so retired to St Malo main town to regroup and consider, after spending a couple of hours in a local bar 'La Belle Epoque' where the waiter spoke superb English and played some beautiful jazzy music creating a relaxing environment, he suggested the road opposite for a hotel, we booked it straight away regardless to save save time looking and searching, bit of a risk but what a pleasant surprise.
The hotel was close to the ferry and the bar, the walled coastal towns views, good quality rooms rated at 2 star NN it was a delight and we were made to feel very welcome considering our tiredness and misfortune, the monsieur and madame's patronage was superb and i would stay there any time and thoroughly recommend to any one else for their hospitality.

From the moment we arrived at the Quic en Groigne until the moment we left, the hosts Marie-Dominique and Michel couldn't have been more helpful. They greeted us by name when we arrived, assisted with our luggage, parked our car in the tight parking area, recommended when and where to view the pending sunset (which was spectacular) and advised us as to our best tourist and eating options in the town.  The day we left they willingly held our car and luggage until we were ready to leave St Malo.  The location of this hotel within the old town walls was excellent.  Our room was small but very comfortable. The breakfast in the conservatory was delightful. We highly recommend this hotel.
