This was a second visit, always telling, and just as delightful. No kitchen works harder and seasonal ingredients shine - the spread of desserts is simple yet stunning. Although formal, the passion of the staff makes everyone relaxed and there's a good buzz. The tasting of wines with the dishes could be local or eclectic but always interests. Opens Sunday evening in summer - always a challenging time for a fine meal. Yes it's expensive but hugely enjoyable and good value. Also frequented by the French, a good sign.
