Stayed here on the way to Spain. After travelling 7 hours on the road we got to the hotel to find it was.not open until 4pm. This did give us time to visit Beaune itself which is lovely but a shower beforehand would have been nice! Check in was fine, room was nice and modern but hot and needed air con as opposed to the fan we got. Reception very helpful overall. It is a nice hotel close to the town and is good for the money. Easily within walking distance to the town. On an eating point, we chose not to have breakfast which looked to be a good decision as the fruit on display looked a wee bit tired, but that is a minor point as we always eat breakfast from a patisserie.

We picked the quaint hotel Alesia because it was located in Beaune, the center of Burgundy wine-production, but easily accessible from the highway. It is also fairly good value (well under 100 Euros per night) - and turned out to be a basic 3-star accommodations. It was easy to find - but check-in was perfunctory, not much of a greeting from the staff-member. The room was very small, barely enough room to put your stuff down, and a washroom (WC separate) too small to even change in. Nonetheless, it had the basic features, like clothes closet, safe, and a fan - life-saving given it was July and no air-conditioning in the room! The bed was a little firm and it was a fitful night (after visiting the old town for a lovely meal at one of the Bistros). Breakfast wasn't included - so after quibbling over the two euro room-tax (we didn't have the exact change and the hotel couldn't provide change!) - we checked out early. Not the greatest place, but met our basic needs.

We stayed here one night in late June.
Pro’s: This place is spotlessly clean, conveniently close to the motorway, has free on-site parking, and pleasant english-speaking staff. The beds were ok, and the bathroom ok too.
But the downside is that there is very little space, i.e. the rooms are very small so a big suitcase can hardly fit on the floor, the breakfast area is very small so one can only move between tables with difficulty, and in the parking area it is difficult to maneuver. You can get out of your small room and sit in the lounge, which is fine, but altogether this lack of space made us feel like we were in a hostel.
So all in all, I do not think we will be back.

We stayed here on a trip to and from the South of France. It's very well situated from the motorways - about 3 minutes - a small 17 room hotel. Spotlessly clean rooms - we saw 2 different ones - and very well equipped,if rather small rooms. Breakfast very nice in pretty breakfast room. Not cheap, just short of 100 for a room and 2 breakfasts, but no complaints either. Beaune is a nice town, with lots of restaurants to choose from, although from this hotel - at the other end of the town - you must be prepared for approx a 20 min stroll to them

My husband and I always stay here for the night on our way to Paris or Brussels. Rooms are clean and comfortable. They have a very nice breakfast and the people that work there are very nice and helpful.

A small, friendly, nice hotel, great value for money. Our triple room was on a small side, with one queen bed and a single one, perfectly ok for one night. Bathroom was ok as well. Yes there were some noises from other guests bathrooms, but nothing disturbing. If you are on a stopover, though, plan some time for a walk downtown - well worth it!

Really tiny room, less than 9 sq. m. The bathroom was so small, you can't even move within. 60 Euro for a such level of comfort is very expensive. Better go to an one star motel for the same quality of the room and you'll pay half. Unfortunately Burgundy is not considered a touristic region, so the decent hotels are very expensive. What a pity! They have the best wines in the world and no any desire to attract people.

Room Tip: Do not book the small room.
