We chose to stay here because it offers off street parking and is walking distance to the city centre. Jacques is a charming and helpful host. The apartment is well equipped for self catering (huge fridge) plus it is near to restaurants, supermarket and a baker. There is a washing machine and a BBQ for the outdoor sitting area. Wifi is available and there are a couple of English stations on TV. We would certainly stay here again.
Not too far from the train station (we came from Paris) and within easy walking distance of the small city of Beaune, France, this charming one-level, handicap-friendly studio was the perfect spot for a week of sight-seeing, wining, and dining in Burgundy. Our friendly host met us at the train, gave us a quick tour of town, and set us on our way with a great bottle of local wine to start our visit. (He and his family became friends of ours in our short time there. Wonderful folks!) Plenty of room for two, this secure studio apartment felt like our own little house for a week, with its own nicely equipped kitchen (complete with washing machine), pleasant decor, and complement of local guidebooks, and maps. An up-to-date television with at least couple of English-language stations was a welcome addition. We rented a small car a few blocks from the train station (Enterprise rentals), but you could make do on foot or with bikes, as did many people touring the local world-famous vineyards.
The studio is tucked into the larger property but completely independant. A large and airy single room it is comfortably if simply furnished and equipped. The owner Jacques is a delightful and helpful person.
Location is just outside the old town but a very easy walkto get there. As we stayed during harvest season the surrounding winerys were constantly active, with a delightful aroma and no nuisance at all.
This place is a hidden gem, tucked away between the wine distributors of Beaune you are treated to a two minute walk to the edge of the old town. The accommodation is far higher than the small charge and with electric gates to hide you away, you always feel secure. I was met with a warm smile and a bottle of wine, which always goes down well.. nothing is ever too much....
The apartment is large and spacious with a fridge freezer and washing machine, plus all the catering you'll need for entertaining your friends.
Clean, comfortable, very well priced and in the heart of the best wine region in France....what more do you need to know.
I for one will return
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated being welcomed and picked up from the railway station by Jacques and him driving us to the supermarket to shop and to familiarise ourselves with the town and some of its history. The studio was clean and provided for all our needs over four days. We would recommend this studio and Jacques as a host.
