This restaurant was a nice find as many restaurants are closed on Sundays and Mondays in Beaune, a busy crossroads and popular stop in the way from Northern (Paris) to Southern France. The town bustles with tourists from all over Europe in the summer due to its central location close to wineries, canal trips, hiking and biking. We dined at this restaurant twice during our recent vacation in France and were very pleased both times. While bottles of wine do start at 28 euro and go up to 75 euro (note the complaint of a previous reviewer) a half liter pitcher of very nice red, white or rose is only 13 to 18 euro. Take advantage of the nightly specials (about 17 euro the two times we ate there) for a taste of the local cuisine that is very good and not just the same ol same ol. Uncrowded, close to easy parking, small enough to feel intimate but large enough to handle a small group. Be prepared to use your French as the friendly staff spoke no English.
