Four of us shared a meal a few minutes walk from the center of Beaune. The food varied plate to plate in quality. The ingredients were fresh the presentation simple. The lobster with pasta was the star and they had a good selection of local cheese and moderately priced wines. Certainly there are better places in Beaune but this was good value, good service and a good time

The hotel is situated about 200 metres from the centre of Beaune with free car parking across the road in the square. The room was moderate size and very comfortable. The evening meal was dissappointing considering it has a 3 pot rating by Logis. The starter was a dissappointing slice of meat pie with a piece of lettuce. The main course, though very tasty was also very small! I was drinking wine by the glass and the measures appeared to be on the small size. I would stay at the hotel again but I would eat out, Beaune has many restaurants. Beaune itself is a most interesting and delightful town.

On a quiet balmy evening in Beaune we were recommended this restaurant. It turned out to be pleasant with a waitress speaking very good English and a older waiter not knowing much at all, however it didn't hold him back. The food was good without being great. With simple improvements it could have been great. A few of the dishes were over cooked and general care on some could have been better. Saying that the scallops were very good. The desserts need more attention to shine in what is a tourist destination.

The sheets were never changed during a week-long stay, there is a shortage of outlets, the tv was tiny (even by French standards), the walls are so thin that you get to know your neighbors even if you don't want to, and the staff makes the Parisians look friendly.

We wanted a stop on a Sunday evening that was open and could guarantee an evening meal. We found both here together with a great location and comfortable room. Also there were many other restaurants open that evening. A comfortable room with free wifi meant we were rested for the next stage of our journey north.
