We had just one night here on our way driving back home. The owner, Yves, is extremely helpful and welcoming. He met us outside his gates and guided our car into the private parking space, which is a luxury given this is right in the heart of old Beane. Once the gates are shut, any noise dies away and you find yourself in a secret, peaceful garden. The room is quiet and comfortable with a good bathroom and view over the garden.

Yves helpfully gave us a list of restaurants in Beaune and marked them on a map for us to go and explore. Unfortunately the weather was not kind but we took one of the umbrellas kindly left by the door and enjoyed walking around, stopping for a glass or two of wine before supper.

Had it been sunny, breakfast would have been in the garden but we certainly enjoyed our breakfast in a private room downstairs. It was beautifully presented with pretty linen and china. Having eaten well the previous evening we could not do proper justice to everything on offer. The croissants were delicious and there was plenty of bread, home made jams, yoghurts, juice and good coffee.

Yves clearly takes pride and care with his home and looks after his guests well, so you do feel spoilt in a way a hotel cannot reach. We only had a very short stay, but feel he would be most helpful should we have needed anything.

Beaune was a charming little town and it was indeed an authentic French experience for us to have stayed at this B&B. The cosy room with antique furniture, carpeted bathroom, lovely garden adorned with roses and excellent breakfast adds to the charm of thi s place. The best part of it all would be the hospitality of the owner, Yves. We were met at the train station and driven to the B&B. We had a great outing with him to the many places in Burgundy. Yet we had enough privacy to explore the town and have a taste of the local cuisine on our own. An unforgettable experience

My wife and I spent three delightful days in chilly January 2012 in this lovely town right in the centre of the Burgundy wine region staying in the only room of this late 19C house. Yves is an excellent host, very accommodating in making all our restaurant reservations before we arrived as well as recommending (and calling to introduce us!) wineries and other sites of interest. His local knowledge which is happy to share adds to the enjoyment of the stay. The room is charming and very comfortable, remarkable for how quiet it is, given it is located conveniently in the old town on one of the entry roads. Having the off-street parking in the courtyard is a real plus. It is two doors down from the Bernard L'Oiseau one-star restaurant which we can also recommend, but Beaune is so compact we didn't walk more than 5 minutes to any of the other restaurants in town.

My sweetheart and I spent a 3-day weekend in this beautiful, quiet, romantic 18th-century residence in June of 2011. The B&B’s sole room is on a charming inner-courtyard garden, where the only sounds are of the birds. The owners’ rooms are elsewhere in the building, so we had quiet and privacy. The location is ideal; step outside the door and you’re on a medieval street in the heart of Beaune, steps from the old city walls. The kind host, Yves, made us feel very well taken care of but never intruded upon. He picked us up at the train station, gave us recommendations for restaurants, vineyards, and places of interest, and loaned us his two bicycles for a fabulous ride through the stunning wine country. Yves provided a beautifully laid-out breakfast for two in a lovely breakfast room; yogurt, jams, juices, wonderful butter, and a variety of breads -- brioche, croissants, baguette, and multigrain – along with a pot of coffee and a selection of teas. In warmer weather, breakfast is outdoors in the courtyard. I’ve already recommended this unique experience to my niece and her new husband. I hope to return! Amy from Vermont, USA

This is a classic French B & B located right in the centre of Beaune. Atop a small marble staircase awaits a clean, comfortable room with a very quaint private bath/shower and toilet attached, overlooking a charming courtyard filled with blossom in spring. A fresh breakfast is provided of wonderful breads, croisants and home made jams. Also the owner has a wealth of knowledge of Beaune and Bourgogne throughout the ages.
The chambre was easy to find and so close to a great selection of restaurants. It is quiet as it is not fronting the street.

This is a beautiful hideaway in the centre of Beaune. There is only 1 very well appointed room, filled with antique furniture and overlooking the stunning courtyard garden. Our host Yves helpfully provided us with a long list of good restaurants in the town, but I would highly recommend booking in advance of your trip as all those suggested were full when we arrived. Breakfast, complete with delicious homemade jams, was served in the beautiful courtyard garden which was a wonderful way to start the day.
