“Fantastic Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 September 2013

We loved our stay at Le Cep while we honeymooned in Beaune. The location is very central to the city and wasn't hard to find. The wait and reception staff were extremely helpful with everything from dinner recommendations, maps and even promptly shipping things to the USA for us when requested. They were so kind and courteous that I can't say enough good things about the staff.

We chose to upgrade one room size to ensure plenty of space and I was blown away by the size and comfort of the room. The decoration is a little quirky but homey feeling (like staying at Grandma's), the bed was comfortable and the room was so dark at night that it was easy to sleep. I took a recommendation from a wine store when booking this so I didn't do any price comparison to know if this is expensive or cheap within Beaune but I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Aloxe room which was one level up from the standard room.

We stayed in Le Cep twice while in Beaune, in August 2013 It is a perfect position. Lovely courtyard , large rooms. The staff. And the front desk staff went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We came from Australia, to do a 6 day walk, and then stay in a house outside Beaune. The food in the hotel restaurant Loiseau des Vignes, was some of the best we have eaten.

We took two rooms here on our journey south through France. Very well located with Valet parking to take your car from a space at the front around to a secure and accessible car park at the rear. Excellent service, good rooms - well appointed, clean and tidy but not that modern. Breakfast was outstanding - we took it in the cellar bar but out in the rear courtyard is also an option. It was expensive as a stopping off point but for a special treat I would recommend it

This hotel is four star but has a lot of elements of a five star. The staff are very friendly and the service is of a very high standard. The room was tastefully furnished and, importantly, soundproof. The meal in the hotel restaurant, Loiseau des Vignes, was of a similar standard. We need more hotels like this in Britain.

Perfect hotel for exploring Beaune. Service staff were very friendly and accommodating is helping organise dinner and tours. Location can't be better, just round the corner from the Hospice de Beaune, with most of Beaune attractions and restaurants within 5-10mins walking distance. The 1 Michelin star restaurant Loiseau des Vignes is located downstairs. Try it if you must, food is good but be warned that service is slow and with prices to match the 1 star rating. The hotel is an old restored building and is very charming. The (very) small gym is located in a tower with a great view. Had a suite which can sleep a family of 4, which was less expensive than getting 2 rooms. The room was air-conditioned but in summer this may not be cool enough. We were lucky that the weather was not too hot. Car parking is easily available for a fee. Wireless Internet access was free but a bit spotty in our room. Overall a very pleasant experience and perfect for first timers to Beaune

Room Tip: Families can save by getting a suite which can sleep 4

The service at this hotel was magnificent. From the moment we arrived, they were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and tidy and of a reasonable size, and the hotel is in the perfect place to explore Beaune and the surrounding countryside. The concierge booked us dinner at the restaurant next door, and also helped us find a nice italian restaurant when we just wanted something simple. When our car broke, they helped us take it to a local garage and could not do enough for us. A wonderful place to stay

Lives up to its reviews. Excellent service, lovely building, centre of town. Eve good value for money vi hotels.com or slh.com. Omly caveat is to make sure you have enough tie to enjoy it - we arrived at night and left fairly smartly in the morning, with the clear impression of having missed out o Beaune and on the hotel. If you arrive by car here is a car park at the rear or secure locked parking right next door (belonging to the hotel).
