Having read some of the other reviews I notice most are of courtyard rooms. Ours was in the main building and was comfortable, clean and pleasant with a view over the garden where our car was very safely parked. Staff were nice and helpful especially over a wine delivery I arranged from one of the local shops. Didn't have breakfast at the hotel preferring to walk into town - 3 minutes - to have petit dejeuner in a cafe. I'd have no hesitation in booking again for a future trip.

Room Tip: We liked the room in the main building but didn't see inside the others to compare

We stayed only one night, but found this Hotel to be much better value that its neighboring property. We had a garden room.which needs updating, although the bathroom was superb and new. The room was clean, but slightly 1980's in appearance and decor. Breakfast was good- choice and service being well up to expectations.Parking in our case was right outside our room- so easy for luggage etc, and secure- important if you have been wine buying and have a boot full!! At 110 euros all in-much better value than the Belle Epoque up the street

It is really nice and very cosy! We went for a late October weekend in a small group of 5 adults and 1 child and we had the duplex garden suites (one with the bedroom on the mezzanine and one with two individual bedrooms and respective bathrooms upstairs - with windows in the roof, really nice), parking is also in the courtyard -very convenient. The breakfast was very good - freshly squeezed orange juice :-) the croissants are the big kind but they are fresh from a bakery (not frozen as assumed by some of the reviewers), good buffet with ham, cheese, cereal, joghurt etc.
The gardens are beautiful, with hammocks and cosy corners everywhere!
The service was super-friendly and helpful (we forgot something and they sent it to us without any hassle), with good tips of things that are going on in the town. All in all a really good trip!

Room Tip: The duplex garden suites are the best! In good weather you have an individual nice little terrace to...

The rooms are arranged round 3 connecting courtyards. You go through the first courtyard (rooms numbered 11, 12 etc), through the second (rooms numbered 21, 22 etc) and through to the final one (rooms 31, 32 etc). So it follows that the quietest rooms are in the thirties, which is where we were. They call it their Duplex extension, and these rooms are different from the rest. The rooms here have a downstairs area with a sofa that can convert into 2 beds. The bathroom is also downstairs. The upstairs area has the double bed and TV. The whole thing is entirely open plan, so from upstairs you can look down on the lower area, and there is no sound isolation between the areas.
The room had both central heating and air-con.
Apart from the TV, there is little equipment in the room. No tea/coffee, no room safe and the hairdryer in the bathroom is just one of those hose things that never really work.
There is a skylight window with a blind that completely shuts out the light, and as that section of the hotel is well away from the main road you can be sure of a restful night.
There is a small bar area at the entrance, but this closed at 10 pm.
Breakfast was a fairly standard continental type. If the weather is good, you can have it on the terrace outside. Other meals are not served, but there is a nice simple restaurant almost opposite the Hostellerie, called Le Petit Bonheur.
Staff were friendly and efficient, and most had adequate or good English.
There is ample parking space in the second and third courtyards.

We stayed here 3 nights whilst discovering the lovely town of Beaune. We booked a duplex room which has a small lounge, an ensuite and a mezzanine bedroom with beams. The rooms are chalet style in the courtyard of the hotel and have an area at the front with a table and chairs. Also, it is possible to park immediately outside the room/chalet.
The room itself was spacious and clean and had a roof window above the bed but also had air conditioning.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was well kept.
We did not eat in the hotel so cannot comment on the food.

The only negatives we found were that the bath/shower was extremely slippery and had no bath mat for showering. Also, as we stayed 3 nights it would have been helpful if there had been a fridge for cold drinks and a courtesy beverage tray.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Hostellerie and will return next year (with a kettle).

We were allocated a room in the courtyard, where most of the rooms seem to be. You are living in a kind of stable, with a glass door letting in the light. There is no window, so at night, with the door closed, there is no ventilation! You can close the outer shutters, and leave the door open, but that is not secure. There was an unpleasant smell in the room, but not in the bathroom, which was okay. The internet connection was very bad. It kept dropping, which meant you had to put the code in again and again, and that got very tiresome. It costs a bit extra, so it should work perfectly. The possibility of parking outside your room, and in complete seclusion, is excellent however. This is by far the best feature of the hotel. Breakfast costs €10 and is not great. Location is good. Staff friendly enough. Not a bad little bar area with reasonable prices. Lovely big old cat. We would stay here again, but we would insist on a better room.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a window you can leave open at night! Most rooms don't have this.

We stayed here 3 nights in an upstairs hotel style room which was basic but very clean and comfortable with a good fresh-looking bathroom. The location is excellent, just a few minutes walk from the town centre. Free and secure car parking inside the grounds is a real bonus. There is a lovely garden area to sit in at the back of the hotel and there is even a hammock! Staff were very friendly, especially the lovely lady who spoke little English who helped serve breakfast. Breakfast costs extra but was good value. We would certainly recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
