Plenty of secure parking. Somewhat tricky access because of the dual carriageway outside. Excellent staff on reception.

We had a standard, very small room for two nights - shoe box came to mind. The beds were comfortable but the decor was very tired. The bathroom was dated but functional.

Good buffet breakfast with hot items. Dinner menu not very exciting but again we wanted plain food and they coped very well, Good service.

Pleasant slightly heated pool with loungers.

Over 60 year olds receive free breakfasts at Mercure Hotels, saved us 30€ per day.

Room Tip: Hotel has two efficient lifts. Probably better to have a superior room for the extra space

We stopped in Beaune on a recommendation on our way to Chamonix and booked the Mercure. Our room felt dated from what I had expected from Mercure hotels I have stayed in in the South Pacific/Asia, however it was fine for a one night stay. The room was very dusty, seemed it may not have been occupied recently.

On a positive note, ample free car parking, bed was very comfortable and staff were friendly. It was a short walk into the centre where accommodation seemed more appealing for similar prices.

After reading some of the reviews I was not looking forward to our stay. My husband and I were more than happy with our choice. I do recommend taking a taxi from the train station, it cost us about 8 euro but it was money well spent. Easy walk to decent restaurants, shops, market, tourism centre. Our room was on the second floor, it looked newish, great size bathroom, comfy beds. We were overlooking the carpark, which is locked night, and it was absolutely silent at night. Airconditioning worked extremely well. It was hot during our stay and I took advantage of the pool, which was a delight. We had dinner at the hotel and it was reasonable, I thought breakfast was too expensive for what it was, but that would be my only gripe. Excellent value.

Room Tip: We had 235 on the second floor

I spent 3 days with my wife and my daugher, I booked on the Mercure's website.
I've been in other Mercure hotels in Italy, they were better than Beaune's. The room was too little for 3 people, with a third bed was difficult even moving in the room. There wasn't a wardrobe, we couldn't take clothes out of the suitcase. The hotel looks in general quite. Indeed it was under maintenance, we have been given a room just near the worksite, the noise was terrible, we asked soon for a new room and the moved us in a quiet room at the same floor. The have been very kind, but we still do not understand why did they gave us THAT room at check in. Nevertheless 100€ per night was not too expensive, the hotel is very close to the centre of Beaune, just 5/10 minutes on foot.

As an overall evaluation, I suggest to look for other hotels or chambre d'hôtes (bed and breakfast) probably cheaper and with more charme

Dear Customer,

Thank you for your comments, indeed, our standard rooms are quite small for 3 people, however, we can propose you for your next stay to book one of our Junior Suite. Fully renovated with double size, we believe it will please you and your family.

Regarding the inconvenience you experienced during your last stay, please accept again our apologies, it was not in fact planned that day that renovations would be so noisy.

We hope that you will keep your trust in us and it is with pleasure that we will welcome you for a future stay at the Mercure Beaune Centre. We will be happy to shaw you our renovations, causes of all this noise.

Since hotels are quite expensive in Beaune, this is a good alternative for those who travel on a budget. Situated 10 minutes from the city centre, Mercure is perfect for those who want to explore the region. The hotel even has a parking, which is closed at night. We were colleagues travelling together and noone had complaints concerning the rooms. The rooms, quite large, are very clean and offers good comfort. In the garden, there is a swimming pool and a terrace with sunchairs. The breakfast (large part of it being organic) is excellent and offers good choice of international dishes as bacon and eggs, but also regional specialities as sausages, ham, several kinds of cheese and a marvellous black currant preserve. Nevertheless, we had dinner one night, but we were quite disappointed. Good wines, but almost none of the dishes were appreciated by us.
